CRAWLEY CAPTURE COLEMAN
Crawley Town have signed striker Omari Coleman after he had his contract with League Two side Lincoln City cancelled by mutual consent.

Coleman, 24, has signed a deal until the end of this season and could make his debut in Saturday's FA Trophy third-round game at home to Boreham Wood.

The striker began his career with Dulwich Hamlet before being spotted by Championship side Watford, who paid a fee of £2,750 – set by a tribunal - for him in July 2004. Unfortunately, despite impressing in pre-season friendlies for the Hornets, his chances of breaking through at Vicarage Road were upset by a knee injury and he moved on to League Two Lincoln last summer.

Coleman has spent loan spells with two Conference clubs already this season. He played five games for Aldershot in the autumn, scoring the Shots' winning goal in a 1-0 home win over Kidderminster, and was then loaned out to Gravesend & Northfleet.

Crawley fans will remember his debut for the ‘Fleet as he scored their second goal in a 2-1 win over the Red Devils in John Hollins' first match in charge and he made a further five appearances for the Kent club.

MORECAMBE TOO WISE FOR REDS
Crawley suffered their seventh home defeat of the season against Morecambe on Saturday. For the second time this season, the Red Devils played out a goalless first half with the Shrimps, but again it went all wrong after the break. Having lost 3-0 at Christie Park in August, Crawley went down 3-1 this time.

Veteran striker Stuart Barlow put Morecambe ahead three minutes after the break, and added a second goal after 55 minutes. Crawley got back in to the game through a Daryl Clare penalty with 15 minutes left but a David Perkins goal just two minutes later secured the points for the promotion hopefuls.

Result: Saturday 28 January (Nationwide Conference)
Crawley Town 1 (Clare pen 76)
Morecambe 3 (Barlow 49, 56, Perkins 78)
Att: 1,253
Crawley Town: Smith, Brown, Simpemba, Woozley, Opinel, Wormull (Jenkins 60), Armstrong (Blackburn 74), Burton (Ekoku 61), Scully, Giles, Clare.
Unused subs: Ward, Mendy.

REDS SQUAD ARE TV STARS
BBC cameras were at Broadfield Stadium on Sunday morning to film the Crawley squad for a feature on refereeing to be shown on BBC Breakfast this Wednesday morning. The piece was presented by Chris Hollins, son of Red Devils manager John, and a sizeable number of Crawley fans turned out to get their faces and voices on camera.
