PLAYERS' WAGES PAID
Following the recent withdrawal of an investor from Crawley Town Football Club, the financial situation has been as much of a challenge for the management team as it was for the players to fight their way out of the relegation zone.

The players' welfare has always been the prime concern of the owners. The wage cut was an immediate repercussion of the cashflow problem caused when an investor withdrew last month. The owners have already provided a financial injection of £800k within a short period of eight months and were not in a position to immediately sustain the shortfall.

Despite the best efforts to attract potential investors, no additional finances have been generated. However, following lengthy investigations into potential solutions, the management today have proved that the players are their priority and can confirm that the wage bill will be covered from a separate business within the SA Group.

In addition, clarification has also been made in conjunction with the FA regarding the position of Chas Majeed. As previously stated, the club is in regular liaison with the Conference, PFA and FA. In response to recent press coverage, Chas has not resigned from the club and will continue to work regularly at the stadium, demonstrating his passion and commitment to Crawley Town Football Club.
