CLAY IS HOLLINS' LATEST QUARRY
Crawley Town have signed midfielder Danny Clay on loan from Exeter City.

Clay, 20, made 19 appearances for the Grecians as they narrowly missed out on the Conference play-offs last season, and he also started in both games of their FA Cup tie against Manchester United.

However, the Doncaster-born player has been limited to one first-team appearance for the Devon side this term – against MK Dons in the LDV Trophy - and he has recently completed a two-month loan at Southern Premier side Tiverton Town.

Clay will go straight into the Crawley squad for tomorrow's home Conference match against Altrincham.

Crawley manager John Hollins said: "I'm delighted Danny is joining us.

"He is a young midfielder with lots of energy and determination and he will improve our squad.

"He is coming to us from an excellent club and I would like to thank Exeter for allowing us to take him until the summer."

"Danny is not the last of our signings and hopefully we will be able to announce some more news early next week."

MUNN'S THE MAN FOR THE JOB
Crawley Town secretary Barry Munn has been appointed as the club's new general manager.

Munn will be taking over a full-time role at the Broadfield Stadium, replacing Paul Hobbs, who has moved on to other projects for the club's owners, the SA Group.

Crawley Town chairman Chas Majeed said: "I'm delighted Barry is joining the club full-time but I would first like to thank Paul for all his good work since we took over last summer.

"Paul has done an excellent job for the club during a testing time and now with the backroom staff more settled, we feel it's a perfect time for him to focus more on other tasks within the SA Group.

"I have a lot of respect for Barry and I'm really pleased he will be joining us full-time.

"Barry is well respected by his counterparts at our fellow Conference clubs and he also holds the respect of everyone here at Crawley Town.

"It's a positive move for the club and we look forward to a bright future with Barry in the role of General Manager."

Barry Munn said: "I'm really pleased to be joining the club full-time in the role of General Manager."

"It's an honour to be involved with this great club and I now can build on the improvements made off the field and help move this club forward.

"I will be working closely with first-team manager John Hollins and I will help him in any way he wants.

"I wish Paul all the best in his future role."

Paul Hobbs said: "I would like to wish Barry all the best in his new role. I have enjoyed my time with Crawley Town."

"I will still be attending the games to support the lads and hopefully starting tomorrow against Altrincham, we can pick up a few wins and move away from the danger zone."
