OWNERS TO HOLD MEETING WITH FANS
Crawley Town Chairman Chas Majeed has invited the club's supporters to an open meeting on Monday 6th March. The meeting will take place in the Redz bar at the Broadfield Stadium, commencing at 7pm.

Mr Majeed has called the meeting to enable supporters to ask questions after this week's news that the club's playing budget has been cut.

WORMULL QUITS RED DEVILS
Midfielder Simon Wormull has left Crawley Town and joined Conference South side Lewes.

The 29-year-old joined the Red Devils from Stevenage in November 2004 and made 44 appearances for the club, scoring four goals.

Wormull has appeared in 23 of Crawley's 30 league games this season, but his campaign has been disrupted by injuries and he has been sidelined since making his last appearance for the Red Devils at Grays three weeks ago.

After watching Crawley draw 1-1 at Gravesend from the terraces on Tuesday night, Wormull is now expected to be fit to make his debut for Lewes at home to Thurrock tomorrow. He will link up with ex-Reds Mo Harkin and Jay Lovett at the Dripping Pan, while midfielder Robbie Kember has today extended his loan with the Rooks for a further month.

Manager John Hollins said: “We are obviously sad to see Simon leave but wish him much success at his new club and for his future career.”

Wormull came through Spurs' youth ranks before playing for Brentford, Brighton, Dover and Rushden. The pick of his three Conference goals this season was a curling free-kick in the home game against Grays, although he also netted in the televised defeat at Aldershot, in Crawley's only league away win this season, at Scarborough in October, and in the FA Trophy first-round victory at Stevenage.

Wormull had four games as caretaker manager after Francis Vines departed in October. Crawley beat Southport under him, but suffered defeats at Cambridge and Burton.

The Crawley-born player was able to walk away from his home town club on a free transfer due to the club's current financial difficulties.
