HARKIN AND ARMO SIGN
Midfielders Mo Harkin and Paul Armstrong have put pen to paper and signed up for the Conference campaign.

Manager Francis Vines said: “With our promotion to the Conference National and the subsequent additional training and travelling, we understand that personal circumstances may restrict some players' commitment to just next season initially. I am delighted to sign Mo and Paul for another season.”

GREGORY LISTED

READY GOES TO BORO
Reds defender Karl Ready has joined Conference rivals Farnborough Town not being offered a deal for next season. Ready was given the chance to return for pre-season training at Crawley but has decided to join Farnborough instead. Ready joined from Aylesbury United during last season but was unable to break up the central defensive partnership of Kevin Hemsley and Marc Pullan so only had a bit part in the title winning campaign.

REDS END WITH A WIN
After losing to Newport County earlier in the week in injury time it was Crawley's turn to score late on Saturday as Robert Traynor scored from the penalty spot in time added on. It was the home side who took the lead however, after 19 minutes, when Mark McGregor fired home from just outside the Reds' penalty area. Their lead didn't last long though, with Allan Tait knocking the ball home after a cross from the left was headed down by Paul Armstrong a minute later.

With time running out Tait was brought down as he ran past a couple of defenders into the home side's penalty area. With regular taker Charlie MacDonald off the pitch, after being substituted during the second half, Traynor stepped home to secure all three points in what was Crawley's last game in the Dr Martens League.
