REPLAY REQUIRED IN TROPHY
It will take a replay at the Broadfield Stadium on Tuesday to decide who will progress to the 3rd Round of the FA Trophy after Crawley drew 0-0 at St Albans on Saturday. With the replay set for Tuesday the re-arranged Dr Martens League match away at Grantham will have to be moved once again.

 
ARSENAL TOO STRONG
A crowd of 1,636 saw the Youth team lose their 3rd Round FA Youth Cup tie against Arsenal Youth on Friday 9-0. Quincy Owusu Abeyie scored twice in the first half to give the Gunners a 2-0 half-time lead. Owusu Abeyie then scored his third in the second half. Anthony Stokes scored 4, whilst Ryan Smith and Francesc Fabregas grabbed one each to complete the scoring. Crawley's Sean Ardley was sent off on 69 minutes after receiving his second yellow card of the game, when the score was 0-6.

FEAR LISTED
Crawley midfielder Peter Fear has been placed on the transfer list. Fear, who has made only five starts this season, was signed in the summer of 2002 from Kettering Town.

 
READY JOINS COACHING STAFF
Central defender Karl Ready has been named as player coach. Ready joins Francis Vines and Dave Swindlehurst in the management team.

FORDE RELEASED
Reds forward Fabian Forde has been released by Francis Vines. Forde joined the club in August following an initial trial during pre-season. The Barbadian under-23 player scored just twice in 16 appearances.

RESERVES WIN ON THE ROAD
Whilst the first team were losing to Dorchester the Reserve side returned to winning ways at Berkhamsted Town. The home side took the lead on 13 minutes before Scott Kirkwood equalised soon after. Shaheen Sadough gave Crawley the lead on 25 minutes, with Kirkwood adding a third and Dean Wordworth a fourth in the second half to seal a 4-1 victory.

REDS LOSE TO MAGPIES
Crawley suffered their second succesive league defeat on Saturday when they lost 3-2 at home to Dorchester Town. The visitors took the lead on 19 minutes when Danny O'Hagan headed home from 6 yards out. The Reds were unable to grab an equaliser during the first half, although Karl Ready did come close. Ready saw his header hit the inside of the post on 29 minutes, only for it to rebound out as opposed to finding the back of the net.

Charlie MacDonald did bring the scores level on 49 minutes when he calmly slotted past Mark Ormerod in the Magpies goal. Jamie Brown restored the visitors lead on 54 minutes with a 25 yard drive that found the top corner of Craig Holloway's goal. Brown then extended Dorchester's lead 10 minutes later, heading home a Matt Holmes free-kick. Paul Armstrong got Crawley's second with a minute of the game remaining when the headed home a Nigel Brake cross from close range.

The defeat sees Crawley drop to 8th in the Dr Martens League Premier Division, although they do have at least one game in hand over all the teams above them.

REDS' RUN ENDS
Crawley's run of 14 league games without defeat ended on Saturday as they lost 4-0 at Hinckley United. Despite having the better of the early possession it was the Knitters who took the lead through Justin Jenkins after 20 minutes. Jamie Lenton then made it 2-0 in the 35th minute as he scored from the penalty spot. Shaun Murray got Hinckley's third on 84 minutes, before Scott Voice completed the scoring with just 2 minutes left.

 
RESERVES OUT OF CHAMPIONS CUP
The Reserve side drew their Suburban League Champions Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg match against Oxford City 1-1 on Saturday. That result means the Reserves lost 3-2 on aggregate. Sadough Shaheen scored Crawley's goal soon after Kenny Hale had given the visitors the lead.

 
IT'S AWAY IN DMC
The draw for the 3rd Round of the Dr Martens Cup has been made and Crawley will have to overcome a trip to Havant & Waterlooville if they want to retain the trophy they won last season. The match is scheduled for Monday 8th December.

GUNNER SIGNS ON LOAN
Francis Vines has signed Arsenal keeper Craig Holloway on loan for a month to cover for the injured Andy Little. Holloway will go straight in to the squad for the trip to Hinckley on Saturday, with Jamie Anderson returning to Reserve team action in the 2nd leg of the Suburban League Champions Cup at the Broadfield Stadium.

REDS FAVOURED BY BET365
Just a week after being installed as joint favourites with Weymouth to win the Dr Martens League Premier Division by Skybet they have now been installed as favourites with Bet365. Bet365 have Crawley priced at 9/4, with Weymouth closely behind them at 5/2. Skybet have amended their odds however and now have Weymouth as favourites at 2/1, with Crawley second favourites at 5/2.

 
RESERVES ROUND UP
The Reserves beat Northwood 3-2 on Saturday in the Suburban League Premier Division. Shaheen Sadough scored a brace for Crawley with Danny Wackett netting the other. With Jamie Anderson playing for the 1st team against Telford second choice youth team 'keeper Craig Hill made his second appearance in goal.

They followed this up with a trip to Oxford City on Tuesday night in the 1st Leg of the Suburban League Champions Cup Semi-Final tie. Kevin Joyce gave the Reds the lead before Matty Whitehead and Kevin Hale scored for the home site, giving Oxford a 2-1 win. Shaheen Sadough was sent-off, when the scores were 1-1, after receiving two yellow cards. The 2nd Leg takes place this Saturday at the Broadfield Stadium, kick-off 3pm.

REDS RUN RIOT
Crawley bounced back from their FA Cup exit with an emphatic win over neighbours Horsham YMCA in the Sussex Senior Cup on Tuesday evening. Charlie MacDonald scored 4 in the 7-1 win, with trialist Dwayne Plummer, Mo Harkin and Fabian Forde scoring the others. Joe O'Hara scored Horsham YMCA's consolation. The Reds will play host to Bognor Regis Town in the 3rd Round. Bognor beat Hassocks 4-0 at Hassocks in their 2nd Round match.

LATE GOAL SINKS REDS
A goal late in time added on knocked Crawley out of the FA Cup on Saturday. The Reds went ahead on 8 minutes when Paul Armstrong's chipped shot from 20 yards sailed over Chris McKenzie in the Telford goal. Justin Gregory made it 2-0 on 28 minutes when he finished off a darting run through the home sides defense with a low drive.

Despite leading at the interval Crawley knew that they would still have it all to do in the second half. Richard Lavery got the Bucks first when he headed home just before the hour mark. Sam Ricketts then levelled the score, as he headed home Lavery's cross at the back post. With time running out and a replay at the Broadfield Stadium likely Chris Murphy headed home Telford's winner from close range in the 4th minute of injury time.

There was only enough time for the Reds to kick off before the referee blew the final whistle to end Crawley's FA Cup ambitions, for this season at least.

ARSENAL DATE SET
The Youth team will face Arsenal Youth on Friday 28th November in the 3rd Round of the FA Youth Cup, kick-off 7.30pm. Crawley will be without captain Liam Buchan for the tie though as he begins a 35 day suspension on Monday 17th November. Admission to the match will be £4 for Adults and £2 for Children & Senior Citizens.

LATE WINNER SECURES WIN
The Youth team overcame Bristol Rovers youth team 3-2 after extra time in the FA Youth Cup on Monday evening to set up a challenging tie against Arsenal in the next round.

Liam Buchan gave Crawley the lead from the penalty spot midway through the first half, almost immediately after Rovers had missed a penalty of their own. The home side were level on 67 minutes through Lee Davidson, before Chris Lines put them ahead. With time running out Josh Lyons levelled the score to sent the game in to extra time.

With a penalty shoot-out on the cards Rob Willmer scored the winner for Crawley with a 30 yard effort that found the back of the net via the underside of the crossbar.

SKYBET MAKE REDS FAVOURITES
Skybet have shortened Crawley's odds on lifting the Dr Martens League Premier Division to just 11/4. This makes the Reds joined favourites alongside Weymouth. Nuneaton, who were favourites before the campaign began, are now 10/3, with Worcester the next shortest on 7/1.

 
REDS RETURN TO TOP SPOT
A determined Crawley side returned to top spot in the the Dr Martens League Premier Division on Saturday after beating a 10 man Chippenham side 3-2. Crawley suffered an early setback when Andy Little suffered a depressed fracture to his cheekbone after colliding with Marc Pullan in the third minute. With Little in no state to continue left back Ian Payne took over in goal.

Paul Armstrong put Crawley ahead on 34 minutes with a low drive. As play moved in to first half injury time Chippenham's Mark Harrington lashed out with his elbow at Robert Smith, for which the referee branded a straight red card. Joff Vansittart made it 2-0 on 65 minutes heading home a cross from Ben Judge. Crawley thought Vansittart had added a third soon after only for it to be ruled out for a foul.

The game turned around completely almost immediately with the visitors scoring twice in as many minutes, first through Scott Walker, and then from Nathan Edwards. Walker then hit the crossbar from the edge of the Crawley box as the visitors looked to cause an upset.

Crawley's winner came with 10 minutes remaining when Fabian Forde headed home his first league goal for the Reds.
