COUNTDOWN BEGINS
The countdown to the new season can begin for real now tonight (30 June) as the Reds have their first pre-season training session. Amongst those likely to be in attendance will be new signings Joff Vansittart, Paul Armstrong and Justin Gregory. They look set to be joined by amongst others, Ellis Hooper, Ben Judge, Marc Pullan and Ian Payne. With Crawley inviting all the non-contracted players from last year along for training the number at the session could be quite large.

Stay tuned for details of who was, and wasn't in attendance, as details become available.

SQUAD TAKING SHAPE
Justin Gregory became manager Francis Vines' third signing of the summer when the former Red signed a one year deal with a further years option. Gregory will be a popular signing with the Crawley faithful after already having two previous spells at the club. Speculation had been rift on the forum for a couple of weeks as to who the mystery signing was likely to be, with frustration shown by some over the delay of announcement.

The signing of Gregory shows that Francis Vines has been busy reshaping his squad for next season after releasing Ne Le Bihan and Danny Hockton following the Sussex Senior Cup Final, and the recent departure of Nic McDonnell to St Albans. Former Crawley fan favourite Joff Vansittart has made a welcome return following his move from Farnborough, whilst Paul Armstrong joins from Airdrie after relocating back to Burgess Hill.
