Jamie Cook, well deserved!

Crawley Observer wrote:
CRAWLEY Town striker Jamie Cook has topped the fans' poll to be the Blue Square Premier Player of the Month for January.
Cook found the net a remarkable seven times in four matches to help Crawley to three wins and a draw during the month.

Having previously played for Town manager Steve Evans while at Boston, Cook joined Crawley during the summer and scored goals against two of his former clubs Oxford United and Rushden & Diamonds.

A second-half brace from Cook, away at Droylsden, ensured that the Red Devils left Manchester with all three points after trailing at half-time.

The award will be presented to Jamie before Crawley's live TV match against Ebbsfleet United at Broadfield Stadium on Thursday, February 14.

Well done Jamie.

I actually emailed the club to point out that they had not put up on their website that he had been nominated.

Very well Done....seems to be richly deserved (although have hardly seen any of the players nominated play so who knows)

But the cynic in me suggests that the TV company/sponsers are quite happy to have a player awarded the prize when their cameras are coming to town (that's a dig at Setanta and the BSP not the club or the player)
