Posted: Fri May 12, 2017 11:35 am Post subject: ** CTFC.net FORUM CLOSING **
Event: 12 May 2017
|
|
|
On Friday 26th May the CTFC.net forum will be closing. The forum will remain online after that date as read only, users will no longer be able to post anything.
CTFC.net began life 20 years ago when Crawley Town were in the Southern Premier League. The forum grew with the popularity of the Internet and has been in its current guise since 2006.
Whilst recuperating from surgery in December I made the decision that the end of this season would be a fitting time to call it a day, rather than stop it during the season.
I would like to thank everyone who has used the forum over the past 20 years, as well as to Chris and Phil for their support over many years.
Now is the time to pass on the baton, that is if someone else feels that way inclined. It will however have to be under a different name and on a different domain. If a replacement forum is set up I wish whoever takes on the challenge all the best.
See you at the stadium.

This is a disaster!
By far the best forum I've seen including up to Premier League level.
Where do we go from here?
Will there be an announcement of the replacement so we can all reconvene? |

Actually quite upset by this...... I don't post often but check in daily to "voyeur".
Plenty of options out there though : proboards.com will give a free forum for example.
Perhaps Ian might already have something in motion...?? |

Thanks for all your hard work over the many years Peter.
If/who takes this over will have to be very dedicated.
Now, before we all go, I think we should all reveal ourselves.
I'm Armchairfan, more commonly known as Matt Butler.
Over to you RRR and BICH |

Great shame that. I would echo what has been said about that the design and structure of this board had made it really enjoyable to use over the years. |

Yes, this is a huge shame and I'd like to add my thanks to Peter for all the work he has done on this over the years. It's been particularly valuable in providing a place where we can find out what is happening at the club, especially during those times when the club were a bit economical with the truth! |

I can only echo all the above. A great asset, which is why it is so active and perhaps we take it all for granted. |
