Have just seen that Portsmouth have been given an allocation of 2300 tickets for our fixture in 3 weeks.
That will be some away support if as expected they sell the lot!
Surely that will be the highest away support from a visiting side ever to visit us ?

I read in yesterday's programme that eight season ticket holders had been moved for the game to give Portsmouth a bigger allocation than normal. I guess they've just been given the equivalent of another block in the East Stand.

If they sell them all then it's more money in the coffers for us.

If they sell all their allocation it will be a good pay day for the club.

I would be surprised if the away support doesnt outnumber the home fans, Pompey are arguably the biggest club in league 2, and we know that they travel in numbers and we are pretty close to them. As noted above, a good payday.

I am one of the 8 that gave been moved all were offered the west stand but I opted to stay in the east stand with a different seat

I know 3 will be in the west stand but not sure about the other 4

This is a great money spinner for the club and am happy to move after all its only for 1 game isn't it

I would go as far to say that Pompey would nearly sell out the entire ground if given the opportunity. 2300 with a fair few in the home ends will certainly be the case. We don't have any dignity to sustain with our home crowds so it won't hurt to be outnumbered! Just more money for the club, give them the whole east stand for all I care!

I asked the club why they did not do this a few seasons ago but was told that there is a maximum number of fans that are allowed to use the away turnstiles.

Makes financial sense, think there's a good chance of hitting capacity for this one.

Last time Pompey came down there were loads of them on the home terrace.
