SSC tonight at 7.45 - Gorings Mead. Even R,R&R might be optimistic. Laughing

YMCA are a decent side, if inconsistent. Direct, physical- and will really want to win. The pitch is likely to be a bit sticky too.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't expect this to be a CTFC walkover- though indeed it should still be an away victory.

YM were taken apart a couple of weeks ago in the FA vase by a team from the West Country playing nice quick passing football. If Crawley play the same way all should be well.

I see Yorwerth is in the squad. Well I hope he sits on the bench all night. We need him fit and rested for Saturday. Glad to see Collins, Connolly, Young and Blackman are all rested.

Be good if McNerney gets through a full 90 minutes (we may need him over Christmas.)
However no DAVEY is he injured ?

Personally I'd like to see McNerney and Garnett in defence; Tajbakhsh and Henderson in the middle and Yusuf up front.

Give Sanchez Watt, Chris Arthur and Bobson a full game and the rest use as little as possible.

Not sure about a right back I n there though.

Just a little side note. I have a history of Horsham YMCA and in there they lament the fact that they do not play on the next door field. The wonderfully named Sally's Bottom. Embarassed

It's been suggested that YMCA are direct and physical; Davey is not cut out for such contests.

Saying that, what is he cut out for? He could be the lead prancer of those soccerettes, or whatever they were, who provided entertainment at games a few years back.

That's potentially a 2 goal head start for the YMCA!

Joes McN is back thats good though overall a weaker side for an important game. Lose and DD should be sacked immediately. Fortunately we are 2-0 up at HT. Even Davey should be capable of handling a few village people.

One message required from DD at HT: they are a small village of nothing. You are playing for the greatest club on earth. Smash them to tiny pieces!!!

Priority is a ticket to next round and ensuring we get to the final but really we should be giving these village pub teams a right hammering.
