Well the Twitter account is getting responses and RT from the club and ex players and directors, I'm guessing it is Paul directly running it.

Hmmmnnn... that is a spectacular volte-face from a bloke who was - to say the very least - obsessively keen on maintaining his privacy and protecting his identity for so many years..?

dontknow

Clearly obsessively keen to keep his identify a secret as a simple google search would have caused a hole lot of *beep* from the very start, 19 links on google have been taken off relating to Drummond and Hayward btw.

Precisely - that is where the focus should have been in the first place, all we had was online crap about him and an obsession with keeping things under wraps, which only created more unhelpful intrigue & suspicion... as soon as he came clean it was fine, he should have done that back in last February when it was obvious that someone would break the story.

You may not agree, but certain "elements" in the fanbase did him & our club a huge service, which now means that he can enjoy posting on twitter..!

scratch

Some of us have enabled him to openly post on twitter, no deceit, no deception... which allows others in the fanbase to kiss his *beep*... so... where's the negative..?

Well then...

As it happens... I'm actually posting this in sunny Northampton... and he is right... there are parts that remind me very much of Crawley, post-war housing estates built to the same blueprint.

...I suppose it is a point of emphasis.... but isn't it pretty fair to say that the financial effort to get to the championship was seriously underestimated...?

dontknow

Particularly as the contribution of the cup runs and transfer surpluses meant that a lot of funding was covered in his first two seasons...(?)

Exactly. I'm sure we aren't the first club to underestimate this and we won't be the last. Hopefully the new owners will have done their homework on that, I saw they were talking about Championship in 10 years which sounds a tad more realistic.

Expecting to get to the Championship quickly was always a big ask, it would have taken tends of millions and even more to stay there. Yeovil managed it but have only just managed to pull out of the nosedive before their third successive relegation.

IMHO there is no future in that type of approach. If you can't build up support and cashflow, the paymaster eventually gets fed up and the bubble bursts.
