Got to this thread a bit late!!

Was going to suggest a home win even though we concede a goal, with 3xr and c69 being positive about our chances.

2-1 Reds- McLeod and Edwards. 2100 plus what they bring.

If we sit back as usual and let Doyle take potshots we will lose, but if we can put the pressure on and make them worry about us instead then 2-1 to us and hopefully more positive support from the small but hardcore crowd.

We will dominate the last 20 minutes and the crowd will be loud and really cheer the boys on. But by then we will be three nil down and there won't be many of us left to witness the too little too late comeback attempt.
That's what my head says. Heart says 2-0 to us as the lads finally put in some effort and commitment for the full 90.

Just had the odds for this game read to me.
We are approx 3/1 to win with Chesterfield evens or odds on with some books. Obviously some of these bookies have done their homework.
I wonder if we can overcome these odds?

Their form is pretty mixed and they have only won 1 more than us, so we should have a decent chance.

Depends if we turn up at 3.00 or 4.30 I guess.

If we get stuck in early the 2-1 Crawley.

0-1 at half time with snores coming from the terraces. A lively second half resulting in a narow win for us.

I predict that Mr and Mrs d_c_bryan will not be going to watch more tosh. If and when it improves, we'll be back but I don't reckon that'll be anytime soon.
If, it's still tosh for the rest of the season, that's 2 West Stand season tickets up for grabs next season as we won't need them.
Even when we equalised last week, I couldn't get excited; seems my love for the club has gone away.
That aside, I reckon we'll lose with Doyle bagging at least one for them.

Nobody ever said it was going to be success all the way, what are you a closet Man Utd fan? How can you really relish the good bits if you duck out of the tosh?Shocked

He seems not to want to come and watch our dire brand of football anymore, its nothing to do with (lack of) success. I can understand people saying they've had enough of what's currently being served up to us, and not wanting to waste any more money on it if they are not enjoying it. That's not me, I will still keep turning up and supporting the team, maybe I'm a mug, I don't know. But I think some will come back if we start trying to play more attractive, more attacking football. Not the glory hunters, but the long standing fans who just want their club back, and the team to play with some pride. We are losing those long standing fans hand over fist. The directors don't seem to care. Just who they think will fill this wonderful new stadium they seem to want is anybody's guess.

I'm no Man Utd fan, I don't like 'corporate' style football, I love the lower leagues where you can feel part of what's going on and be proud of it.
I was here before the good times but of late, I dont look forward to going to Crawley and when I get home, it takes hours for my sulk to leave, all because of the tosh. So I reckon if I dont go, I won't get the sulks but I'll still be refreshing twitter every few mins from 3pm. I can deal with defeats but not capitulations.

Shame to lose a loyal fan like you in addition to several other "old timers". From what I'm told, disenchantment is the word of the season.
