Just watching Eibar v Real Sociadad. Eibar are in La Liga after back to back promotions, with a ground of about 6,000 capacity and no debt to speak of. One of the commentators in the first 5 minutes compared Eibar to Crawley Town to give you (the viewer) an idea of the size of the ground and club.

Unfortunately Eibar is apparently the size of Stratford on Avon - about 30,000.

On SS5 now, kicked off at 6pm.

Where did you get the population of Stratford upon Avon from? Slightly out , I think.

Steve, the same Sky Sports 5 commentator about 10 minutes after the original comment .... when I had found the Nexus, turned it on, one finger typed .... he happened to mention it. I did not bother to check - he is a media professional after all, he must be right Shocked

I guess the point he was trying to make was that a huge percentage of the town had turned out for their first game in La Liga. Though I imagine we would get a sell out also if we played (comparatively) Crystal Palace in a first Premier League match.

Eibar, the relegation favourites, won BTW.
