215 was it?
Not a bad effort, but I suspect it will be hard to keep that average up with so many long distance games, even for mid week.
I'm sure the ones that did make the effort enjoyed the day and, let's face it,a clean sheet victory.
I said in a previous thread a couple of months back that victories will taste so much sweeter being produced on a more sustainable budget.
An away win against a side playing championship football last season. How very, very sweet.

Don't mind being bottom of that league, as long as from a playing perspective we stay out of the bottom 4 of L1.

Dan, you're just going to have to let this one go and accept that with a northern based league our numbers won't be routinely high.

Wouldn't mind staying near the bottom of this league either, although we got off to a bad start.

Crawley Dan is beyond boring. I do wonder if away attendances would rise if he stopped travelling; the risk of being counted or being exposed to the distressed face of someone on a hapless crusade once again aghast at the paltry numbers would be off-putting.

Leave it out with the constant bleating. Do you want to be seen as a matyr for your efforts, have recognition or what? The Crawley Town special one?

I have no idea who you are in real life, but as I value my sanity that suits me fine

Mick, As you know, I am only on the wind up, I tell you that most weeks.

It's just amusing watching people get wound up, all the time. I go every week, because I am lucky enough to be able to, with my friends and we have a good time. That's all that matters to me!

I am at every game but not always in body. People's different circumstances have to be taken into consideration but it's how you support the team that counts. I think that our away support is generally a credit to us and very supportive of the team.

Shame you forgot to tell the rest.

Tell you what Dan, I'll swap my mortgage and bills for yours, then we'll see how many away games you get to then.

I travelled up to Barnsley on Saturday and have to say that the away support was magnificent. We didn't stop singing and getting behind the boys. It was a brilliant away end to be in, with high views across the pitch and a large roof above us which carried the noise around the stadium. The Barnsley fans on the far side were getting very wound up by us! Especially as they were getting beaten by a team that 4 years ago was playing non-league football.

I'm proud to be part of the 215 fans that travelled, it will surely be one the higher away numbers, especially as has already been mentioned, this season league 1 is very much a Northern teams league. The only time this season we are likely to take over 500 away will be Leyton Orient and Gillingham. Which for a team like Crawley is still a bloody good effort! COYR's!!!

This. It was a great day out. We were loud and proud, even got to sing the fire drill song again Razz and for once the lads managed to hang on for the win. Good times.
