But 1 goal is sufficient. Who needs 6?

Ipswich supporter here, following the game on the radio.

Many congratulations on tonight's win. I was worried that we'd have been done on penalties by Brian 'the Beast' Jensen anyway before you scored.

I know we didn't play all of our 'A' list team, but Bartman in goal, Berra, Chambers, Wordsworth, Nouble and Hewitt will all feature regularly this season.

This result should help the team - which all appear to be very new - to bond and grow in confidence. We played Fulham on Saturday and they were a team of strangers. Listening to the commentary, John Gregory has moved your squad a great deal further down the track.

All the best for the rest of the season and I hope you get Palace or Brighton at home in the next round!

Fantastic result. Gutted I didn't go now.

It's only early doors and we know the frailties in our squad but Gregory really might have proved his worth in the summer.

Thanks mate. It could have gone either way and there were periods when your midfield were running rings around us - especially number 23. It nearly didn't get to extra time. Your lot hit the bar and your keeper stuck out a hand in the last minute to stop one into the corner. Looks like god wasn't on your keeper's side tonight. I'm surprised he doesn't wear a vicar's dog collar with a performance like that Smile

Positive was the back five looked very good solid and another clean sheet.

McLeod worked very hard and the young lad from Fulham was very sharp and had some skill. He put a shift in as well.

The midfield is a huge concern Smith apart it wasn't great. Henderson has a great cross in him but makes a lots of errors. Edwards was ok and did put a shift in but not a lot of end product.

I would actually move Dickinson up to midfield and leave Bradley at the back. Dickinson put some superb crosses over. God help us if Simpson is out for any period.

Overall there was a hell of a lot of hoofing the ball from back to front missing the midfield entirely. It was generally boring to watch but for the drama of the knock out.

But hey we are through they showed a hell of a lot of spirit and that has to be applauded.
