Just a fitness exsersise really. Apart from those signed on the trialists were mainly youngsters who had never played league football before. Collis john and DeanLeacock were the exceptions.

The more you look at it we probably need Leacocks experience alongside Walsh. Bradly so far has looked have poor touch and lacking a bit of aggression despite the poor opposition. The pitches don't help mind absoloutly terrible.

I don't know if we have any money left in the budget to sign any further experience. Simpson has looked the most skillful and strongest player on the pitch in these two games by a long way ..he is a decent player but don't want to be relying on him for bite and aggression in the middle of the park. We need a leader / aggressive holding midfielder in my view.

Saturday should be a bit more interesting.

To early to tell if Collis John has it still he has delivered in the past but last three or four years drifted through second teir USA football .. Not sure what went wrong for him?

Thought Connor Henderson looked very good first half and Lewis Young also looked sharp (but quite light, a worry for the hurly burly of league 1). Jimmy Smith and Josh looked pretty good second half but we didnt really get going again until last 15, but a very nice move and finish by Bodson Bawling (got to signed him just for the name!). Also a great clearance off the line by their no.5 who was clearly desperate to keep the score down and really laying into his team after the 10th went in!
Pitched looked ok to me but the grass was long!

Where is Town Meadow?

Head for TGI Friday,Pizza Hut,a bowling alley and cinema, and a revolting "Italian" "restaurant",and you will be at Town Meadow.
As a long time fan you really should know! Wink

What's right with it Northgate??
Positively dreadful dining experience.
The food is pre cooked and heated,a bit like McDonalds.
I had you down as being slightly more tasteful!
