Nice to see on the BBC website that we will be starting the season in 7th place. The downside is that it's based on alphabetical order.

Yes spoiled..

A decade back we produced a T-shirt when the Conference fixtures came out... we were just genuinely excited to be playing that level of opposition...!

Are you not excited that we are (still) playing in League 1? I know I am, and a bit amazed. I'm sure most others on here are too. But we are spoiled because we didn't produce a t-shirt? Shocked We are in L1 on merit, about to start our 4th season as a League club. You haven't shaken off that 'little Crawley' mentality either. We ain't non-league any more Thad, even if the club is run like we still are.

Yes I am thrilled and still possibly find it a bit incredulous that we appear in the league one fixture list... that was the actual point that I was making...

...it's all been regarded as just a matter of course on here... where's the raw excitement & expectation at this fantastic achievement..?

I hope you are right and that everyone else is feeling the pride & the buzz too, I just felt we appeared a little apathetic & complacent... i'm happy if like you & me, a few others feel that the fixtures appearing is a big event in the calendar...!

Why no game on New Years Day ? Seems odd to playing on Boxing Day (Friday) and then 2 days later. Something to do with FA Cup 3rd round weekend ?

I will bet now that Crewe away (Saturday 4th April) gets pulled forward 24 hours to Good Friday.

Me too - and the play for your club one, and the Morecambe one Embarassed

we should have another retro shirt wearing day at a PSF. Who can ever forget the sight of Martin Hemington in a rather snug looking shirt

No trains operate on Boxing Day do they?
I'm very disappointed that the Orient away day, which has become my favourite because of the curry afterwards, will not take place without public transport being available...

Yes it's a big event for CTFC, and indeed for me, if for no other reason that I can try and work out when to fit in my summer holiday between all the games! Very Happy
But how many years do we have to spend in the FL before we become just another bog standard club (which we are) hoping to avoid relegation, and dreaming of promotion? I'll probably never really get my head around the fact we are one of the 92 FL clubs. But we are, and we are there on merit.
