Good move I think he will do ok in the championship.

I wonder how long before Evans comes in for our centre halfs. Confused

He struggles with the physical side of the game. Many times he was up against a physical type player he bottled it.

They have some nice padded seats on the bench and in the stands as that is where he will be and not on the green stuff.

Having said that good luck at Crawley Reserves!!

He's good enough for the Championship IMO - but I think his consecutive appearances record is about to end.

He's the only ex-Crawley player there I believe.

Personally I think it's a level too high for him. Nice bloke though and I would be delighted to be proved wrong.

He is a quality player who makes very few mistakes. He can get forward well but seemed to do less of that in the second half last year. Shows he was right to turn as down as he has probably got himself a nice pay rise and the opportunity to play in a higher league.

I am sure he will,do well in his usual understated manner.

Strange move for both parties it seems. For a player who uas been ever present for two clubs over a two year period it appears to be motivated by money because with Evans record of player turnover I will be surprised if he gets a game every week. Also it seems a strange move and although a consistent league one player he does not have a proven record in the championship for several seasons. Interested to see the fans reaction in Rotherham because I am not sure he could be considered a marquee signing for a newly promoted side. Although good luck to him because he seemed to be a good bloke when interviewed

He is a smart player and a reliable consistent type. He will do well in the championship I think. The only real weakness is out and out pace.

And the only player to leave who has moved to a higher level.

I suspect the fans' reaction will be the same as ours every time we sign an ex-Bury player! Very Happy

I don't agree. He should be well able for that level.

Consistent L1 performer and will be interesting how he handles the pace of the Championship. At least he will be fresh for the challenge as imagine he'll be on the bench for most of it.

Me too - also four years of consistent performances at League 1 level have not led to a wave of interest in him. which seems to suggest he hasn't been on the radar of many clubs higher up the pyramid.

I wonder if Evans is looking to make a quick profit on him dontknow

That was my first thought, cost nothing, sell him in January when transfer fees
tend to be higher, typical of how Evans operates. No lose situation for the fat man.
