I am sure I saw him play in October against us. Looked a nasty bit of work ! maybe I will feel differently when he is a Crawley player.

(Looked him up on Soccerbase and they reckon he is only 5' 8". I am sure he looked taller than that, nearer 6 foot. The whole Stevenage team looked 6 foot Confused )

Now we've signed someone AND paid a fee maybe some of those doubters who were holding back from buying a season ticket should now get on with it. Wink

No need- he is not playing for Westley anymore.

He's had the "Thuggery tactics" drummed into him by Westley!! How long that will take to change could be an age 😜

I think that you will find that once a player leaves the "special" atmosphere of Stevenage, he realises that winning a bout inside the distance or getting 5.9 for diving is not really part of the game we all love.

Sounds more and more like he had a religation clause in his contract rather than Stevenage just releasing him.

Never heard of him. Looks like a journey man not very inspiring signing but at least it's another body on board .

Don't quite follow your logic here. I remember hiom, particularly in the home game, seemed to get stuck in and rally the troops and has a good pedigree in League 1. Not surprised Steveanage fans are unhappy he has gone. I think turning to the relegated teams is a good first step, in a league where the margins are tight, it does not mean individuals in those teams are not good enough. Just remember, we signed Nicky Adams from Rochdale who had just been relegated from League One and he didn't too badly for us. After all the doom and gloom of the retained list, I am actually pleased that we have made a signing already who appears to be able cut te mustard at this level. Lets have a bit more optimism

Yep, 27 years old and three permanent clubs, including 189 appearances at one of them. Can't stay anywhere that one.

You don't half talk some *beep*!

If they were releasing him we wouldn't have had to pay a fee. Wink

Encouraging news, always though the proof is in the pudding.

But JG has acted quickly to buy someone so that should be applauded.

Welcome to Crawley Jimmy !

Good news Armchair. Is that just away games or will you be allowed to inject a bit of enthusiasm to the Broadfield as well?

Welcome to the Checkatrade.

About time we had a Jim play for us. I could buy a shirt with our name on.

He says he cant wait for June 30th, to meet the lads and to get back into traing. Lets hope we have a few more lads for him to meet.

"Lets play three a-side and forget about goalkeepers" might be a useful introduction?
