It's worrying. We've had relative stability for four years in terms of the playing staff. It's like going back to the non-league days with a massive cull.

Gregory is going to have to earn his keep this season.

Old Story just written in a different way, lazy journalism, Dannie and Mat Sadler are staying trust, the other 2 Jones and Proctor going.

Are you just guessing/hoping, or do you know that for a fact? If so, who told you? Would be nice to know we can keep some of this season's squad together. Would like all 4 to stay but I think Jones is off. Proctor wanted to stay, but a pay cut plus the constant barrage of abuse he gets from some of our *beep* fans must be making him think twice.

Half grim then. But if you add it to all the good other good players who weren't even offered contracts, the overall situation it doesn't look pretty.

What a perfect advert for encouraging the purchase of season tickets. We will find out who the JCLs and the genuine real fans are by the beginning of August.

Based on previous posts, 'guessing/hoping' would be my bet. Wink

But just as interesting and relevant are JG's comment on the previous "extortionate" contracts as well as "gravy train", so maybe players are just going to have to get used to realistic wages and nothing wrong with that.
Makes his job more difficult in creating a team (spirit) but not necessarily in the attracting on players.

NO not guessing spoke to quite a few of the players when the presentations on the pitch were happening, Mike Jones said he was leaving and Proctor indicated that too, Dannie said he was hoping to stay and Sadler as well, but of course money talks and we will not be paying stupid wages like we have in the past. I have been wrong in the past I admit but things change all the time in football so you can never be sure about anything Peter Rolling Eyes
