Are we still saddled with Emile Sinclair or have we managed to off load him? He wouldn't last 10 minutes under Gregory.

Well it's a bit staggering and suggests how far we have to reduce wages.

I doubt our total income is 2m GNP which suggests a wage cap of 1.2m. A fist team squad of 18 excluding the two youngster already siigned would average out at 66k per player.

Some will get more some maybe less but not sure we can carry 200k a week.

The owners threw in 1.5m as a 'gift', we guessed last week at gate receipts of around 950k. Sponsorship, matchday revenue. We are probably upwards of 3m. Thad is normally the man with the accounts.

I assume the "gift" was last seasons money and won't be repeated in 2014'/2015.

We could really do with a decent cup run next year Confused

We really should of held onto Reverend Red. Get him back from Katalans because with the player situation as it is going to be, we will need a lot of help from his Boss. And I don't mean G. Martino.

I'd guesstimate that our lower earners were on 2-3k per week with the top earners adding a 1 to the front of their weekly wage. Giving a 3.5 - 4m annual total overall. Certainly not sustainable without the continued generosity of our owners.

Well if we are paying those wages on our income it is stupid beyond belief. I would say 100k tops should be our max wage on the money the club generates.

Interestingly the club accounts for the year to June 2013 have just been filed at Companies House (just to clarify for those not aware, this is a public register so all information is public knowledge).

Because of a smaller companies exemption the club can avoid full transparency (ie no detailed profit and loss information is filed) however the balance of the profit and loss went from -0.56m to -3.58m in the year. The difference of -3m may be a guide to the scale of any losses in the year.

The accounts also indicate the directors put in 2.3m of new investment in the season 2012-2013 and the notes indicate further money has been put in since then.

Whether anyone at Crawley is on 200k is doubtful I would have thought that will be 15 - 20percent of our entire playing budget.

200K is about 4k a week.

SOme of the released players were on more than that. One of the ones under contract for next season is on double that.

Tubbs at Bournemouth was on more than that - that's why he left for them

Startling that I know. But those are the crazy figures we agreed to pay.

Gary Alexander was on a similarly mind boggling amount

If you heard what I heard about Claude Davis' wages, you'd know why he went sooner rather than later. Might not be true though.

Is that saying we made a loss of 3.58 m up to June 2013 !

Surely that would make us near bankrupt.

No, 3m is the change in P&L account for the year.

Whether it makes you insolvent depends on whether someone is putting in money to cover the losses (which the directors are).

Either way it doesn't make much sense to be spending a lot more than you earn.

Bloke where I work is a Northampton season ticket holder. He says Sinclair has been useless.

100K blown.

BICH: Anyone who saw Sinclair play for Macc. before his transfer to Posh could tell you that the transfer fee of 100k was akin to daylight robbery.

In fact anyone who saw his youtube channel could tell youu he wasn't going to score many goals.

I'm only a fan (no coaching badges at all) and I knew we had just wasted the cash.

Raging. We get a half decent squad together over the past two seasons, then the money runs out and we lose half of that team.

If we were depending on one investor and he's either gone or cut back, surely this was known or becoming apparent months ago and a financial implosion could have been avoided. Why the **** couldn't the club come to the fans for investment like other clubs have done on occasion to maintain the contracts and hang on to the better players at least?????

Seems JG hasn't totally ruled out taking some of the players that he has just released back in July if they haven't got fixed by then. Hang on a minute Sergio Laughing
