From this morning's City AM

"There are few things more capable of provoking utterly ludicrous mood swings than an idle Sunday morning studying the football league tables.

With the exception of Crawley, about which I find it hard to form any opinion, it's difficult to be ambivalent about a single team in the entire top four divisions, as one single experience with that town or an individual from it, can colour your judgement or ever more and impact on how you want their football team to perform."

John Inverdale, find it difficult to form an opinion of him.

Never really seen a program he has presented.....

Why don't you ask us to do something a little easier, like win the lottery.

I don't like Inverdale, I was a Trafalgar Square in 2003 when England paraded the Rugby World Cup. Inverdale, was the PA announcer. He praised rugby and its fans but found the need to slag off England football fans and football team on that occasion.

Why ? I have no idea, why even mention football and its fans, at a rugby event.

I have not liked him since.

You are not the only one -- Give me one good reason to find out.

No, on second thoughts I could not be bothered to read it.

Wasn't he benched after his comments at Wimbledon last year? If so he has plenty of time on his hands to thing about it.

John Inverdale is a brilliant broadcaster - as good as I have ever heard.

Not only that he took time out from his work schedule to help me complete a project I was doing at Uni. So impressed was he with what he saw and heard he arranged a work placement for me and that led to a job when I graduated.

Will always be grateful to him Very Happy

I would see this as an excellent opportunity for the club to invite Mr Inverdale to come and visit us and see us play. Perhaps then he will be able to have an informed opinion of us.
