I wonder if there is scope for extending the season if any teams have large backlogs? It has happened before - my Dad always tells me about 1963 when the seaosn finished in June!

That was before the days when they insisted on all games on the last day being simultaneous

Neither was it a World Cup year.

I doubt contracts last into June either.

That's something I hadn't thought of. There are still 2-3 spare midweek dates so no need to panic yet. Increasing the size of the squad, perhaps through a couple of loans, may be sensible with the backlog.

You mean we're not playing 2 games a week for the next couple of months? Shocked

Since the introduction of end of season play offs I think the opportunity to extend the season is almost non existent. Wembley will not wait for us!

If Saturday's game is off then things will definitely get a bit tight.

More chance of us collectively (2400) home fans going to the moon on Saturday than football at the Broadfield.

If I was JG I would sign at least 6 wiling men because regardless of ability we will need them to fulfil the fixture list in March and April

The season is a wash out.
