Not surprised after the whole Barker situation, it's a shame but that's football. Hope he does well at Portsmouth with RB.

That statement by Michael Dunford about it being rubbish that SC had left turned out to be a bit of an "Alan Williams"?
A shame I think, definitely think he added a bit of credibility to our club.

Worst kept secret in football.......... Sorry to see him go, but we all have to move on & get behind the boys on the pitch.

Thank you Steve - those with short memories should remember the part he played with Craig Brewster in seeing us over the line for the League 2 promotion. I think he did a good job in giving us a bit of extra credibility. Will he pitch up next back at Palace?

Will the last one out turn off the lights?

Did a club of our size and statue really need a director of football?
IMHO no, it is another wage off the bill, out with the old, in with the new.

Agree that a director of football seems extreme for us but he did add credibility no football people at the club now that have been involved more than a few mins.

A couple of months ago I would have been doom and gloom with the exit of RB and SC but the one dimensional tactics since had been a massive disappointment. Sticking to a method when it had been sussed by the opposition and not adapting when the players were clearly not up to the skill level of the response ( and RB criticising the said fact) means I'm looking forward to a new regime.

Yep, he seemed to add credibility but what did he actually do for us?

He added credibility. When asked that very question at a fans forum, he answered "as little as possible." Shame that the board's cack-handed, trigger happy approach has caused all this upheaval just days before what could prove to be the most important game of the season.

I'm sure dealings with other football clubs and players he added a great deal of credibility. Any dealings we may have had with the FA I'm sure a respectful face in Coppell helped a lot!

I'm a lot more bothered about SC going than I am about RB. I do wish they were both still here - but I've never been a great lover of change anyway.

I'm hoping that recent events are just growing pains.
Time will tell.

I'm told that his credibility helped us though that remains just as an assertion.

Can anyone explain to me just exactly what he did during his tenure because I am struggling?
