He played 90 minutes for Wales U21 last night in San Marino. Probably a bit much to expect him to play today too. Wink

See, I told you I was a dummy Rolling Eyes

Mind you, when I were a lad we'd play 3 games between doing the paper round and breakfast time and still have enough energy to spend a night in San Marino with some under 21's .........

Great game. Should have been ahead at half time. 2nd half was insane. Cards, goals, could have been another 5 goals in the 2nd half alone.
Topped off by a Messi like winner from Billy Clarke.

The referee shouldn't be allowed to officiate after his disastrous performance today. Gary Alexander didn't stamp on their player, and their sending off wasn't justified either as it was no more than a shoulder barge.
Fantastic entertainment with the 5 goals it has to be said. Wasn't that impressed with Hurst, seemed very shaky at RB in my view. Adams was different class today, he worked his boots off. Great result in the end.

What did Alexander actually do to get his red? We saw him get the yellow early on but the chap in front of us who barely sat the whole sodding match blocked a lot of our view Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

First time I've made it down this season, and that was a world away from some of the dour performances in the second half of last season. Marvellous entertainment - any newbies today would surely come back again!

Haven't had so much entertainment at a Crawley game for ages.
The crowd round me (and me as well) were going mental with the ref and the goalie. Goalie was trying to get Clarke or Sadler sent off after the 2nd goal and the ref lost the plot. He went from not booking their player in 1st half for a blatant foul to stop Adams (I think) who was heading towards goal to then booking both our player & theirs and sending them off when neither were bookings.
In fact Alexander had a straight red which was ridiculous.
In the end the only team that played good football won and I was very impressed with the attitude of all the players. Billy was outstanding and when did he learn to shoot right footed - a cracker of a goal.

I hope there won't be many negative posters after the game today. 5 goals, 2 sendings off and plenty of good football from the Reds and a cracking winner from Billy.
Unless you want to post about the useless ref or a couple of the Gillingham players who were doing their best to fake injuries and get players sent off.
Thought our performance oozed quality.

Typical Martin Allen team disrupt the flow of the game players feign injury and cloggers! They got out of it what they deserved! Liked to have been a fly on the wall in there dressing room at half time with Allen and akinfenwa! That was a very unhappy striker when taken off!

We played some stunning football today and to be quite honest we embarrassed them. Really could have had another load of goals if their goalkeeper hadnet had a blinder.

It would have been an absolute travesty if we hadn't picked up three points.

The players deserve six thousand every game because they are really putting on a show. I certainly wouldn't pay to watch the dross Gillingham served up.

In the top six and another home game next week I can't wait.

Great entertainment although we should have been out of sight well before the end. A combination of great keeping and weak finishing.

A year ago we might have slipped to a limp defeat but not today.

Strange refereeing, barely a bad tackle in the game and he looked like he was trying to even it up with yellows and reds.

Positives. Clarke - amazing, real transformation from a year ago. Bulman, worked his socks off. Sadler - solid at LB.

Weaknesses. Hurst out of position far too often and two silly goals conceded.

What was that silly jingle after the goals. Also could the club please turn the music off when reading the teams out - the mic kept cutting out in West Stand giving us people like Arry Lexander and Mile Clair.

Akinfenwa did not look too happy when pulled off after 30mins. Him and Kedwell must be the heaviest front pair in the league.

Good 3 points and up to 6th. Happy days.
