Watched the pen. award on tv a few times, in slo mo, stop start and full speed. I'm not sure if was a penalty or not. If on playback I'm not sure I can't really criticize the ref and lino for giving with one view at full speed.

It was probably easier to give for the home team.

Being brutally honest Kyle lost composure and panicked ...moved his arm out and was a cast iron pen. Being totally frank when he realised he wasn't going to block he should have left it and hoped someone behind will clear ...bottom line error of judgement has cost us.

Plus side ...no one is going to pay 500k for him this side if Christmas until he gets back to his dominant self.

I can accept the fact it was a pen.

There would be worse ways to lose.

Brilliant performance. We played some good stuff, I predicted a 5-2 loss, how this team proved me wrong.

Not the result we deserved but we outplayed multi million wanderers in footballing terms for most of the game. The encouraging thing is that there is more room in the tank. For those who haven't been convinced by RB and Mike Jones - if that doesn't change you then your best sticking to your other sports. Great advert for Crawley town fc as part of the entertainment industry, what can be achieved with less and also for RB himself - he'll be on the radar of bigger clubs at this rate (probably sooner than later). Overall, a better balanced performance - better defending of corners. Can't wait for Posh away and more 100% effort and quality entertainment.

...but a classic case of over-celebrating before the game was over and then losing concentration from the restart of play.

Great performance from the team and from Adams. I hope being on sky and playing so well doesn't bring in some championship clubs for him, he deserves to play at a higher level, even if it's just a league one club pushing for promotion....though it would be much better for us if he does go that he goes higher up the divisions.

I thought barker showed spirit and trust in the teams to bring on two strikers when he did. I still would have preferred connolly to fadz in defence, I think fadz looks overweight, hopefully he can get back to his best.

Well done to all who travelled, great commitment

Look at the timing of my post you humourless fool. It was just after he scored. I was having a little pop at those who call him lightweight.

Some nice comments on the Wolves forum. Didn't emerge with any points but at least a lot of credit:

Quote:
"you have to give HUGE credit to Crawley, were a real pleasure to watch and had some lovely passing moves around our goal, including teh one that led to the goal! But - $#@! me that was exciting!"

"So many of our fans expected them to be an pushover as "it's Crawley" but they made a fantastic account of themselves. Their manager has come across very well, too."

"He [Barker] said they gave us too much respect for the first 10 minutes and were then the better team. Hard to argue with him, really."

"As much as anything though we have to admire how Crawley played, I think pretty much everyone on here underestimated them but I was thoroughly impressed. Everyone has said the League 1 standard was dreadful but I think that was a pretty good match to watch."

Loads more good comments on their forum including these: -

Crawley were better more than we were poorer (if that makes sense ?) and with a decent striker or two could be a very good Championship team !

First of all we were lucky last night. And it is too early in the season for the “mark of a good team is to win when not playing well” nonsense. Crawley were better than us last night and some of their pass and move stuff was a joy to watch.

I think last showed that this league will not be full of teams playing hoof ball. Crawley played some very good football, and showed some good movement. If they are representative of what we can expect to see, then there will be some good games at Molineux this season.

I think the split's probably 50:50 between footballing teams, like Crawley, and alehouse merchants, like Port Vale who we're playing next week.

As for the hoof ball comment, lucky they didn't see us last week!
