What do the powers that be have against me going to see Crawley play Sheffield united. Last year it was the FA Cup now its the Police.
Chances of getting to Sheffield up the A47/A17 on a Friday are about nil.

(As its on Friday I wonder if sky might show it.)

Can't say I blame the police for this. I'd be questioning the Football League for scheduling them and Wednesday at home on the same day.

My thoughts exactly.
How did that come to be in the first place?

Although there may be other considerations, I note that Wednesday's home fixture that weekend is with Ipswich. Although not nice for either party, making the trek from Ipswich on a Friday is a lot less miles than making the trek from Crawley. So maybe Wednesday's fixture should have been changed. However, I imagine that the main consideration would be the numbers travelling. It's pretty clear that there would be more from Ipswich than Crawley whatever day it was on.
