Shame, don't think he had a chance to shine. BHA fan friend really rates him.

I never rated him. He seemed lost at times and for most of the games did not seem to link in with the other players.

He was one of the many brought into the side because they were available at little or no cost.

Cool

I don't believe this is a big loss as there will be younger more hungry players available with as much quality as sparrow has at this stage in his career.

I wish Sparrow all the best in the future as he came in when we needed a player with experience to come in and fill the game left by Akpan.

I had heard rumors of his wages being extremely high so the club could probably not meet his demands!! shame as he had some experience but he is easily replaceable I feel as was nothing amazing!!

Good luck in the future Matt.

You played well during your time here and will be an asset to a team where ever you go.

Obviously a manager needs to ensure he has depth in the squad... and Sparrow came in when Akpan was sold.... but I would have thought we were okay for central-midfielders...

...and there was already at least one in the squad who we were paying to do more than his fair share of bench-warming...(?)

Cant say he will be a major loss. As others have said he seemed lost at times and there were a few games I only noticed he was on the pitch when he was subbed OFF.

Either way, all the best for the future. Maybe a return to Scunny is likely.

Obviously wanted a better deal than we offered.
No huge loss, high earner and not that good, that should leave some
more room on the wage bill. Laughing

Glad RB is sticking to his guns and looking after the clubs limited resources.

Think people underestimate Sparrow and the work he did. He may not have reached heights he was capable of but he was by far our most athletic midfielder . Did a hell of a lot of work . Won't be easy to replace.

Not true. Plenty of handy, skillful young players about looking for first team places. Easy to replace.

Another player seen off by Super Danny Bulman ......... i think when u look at Bulman you see what a player earning double his wages should be capable of ?
