True Phil. My heart just sank when I saw that though.

Sounds like RB is keeping his powder dry.

Out : Wassmer, Davies, Neilson, Akpan (Fadz ??)

In : Elford-Alliyu, Spencer (loans) Sparrow (free)

Saving the money for a big name striker??

A big name striker would certainly give everyone a lift. In RB we trust.

Unless we are going to get in a prolific striker at this level I don't see why he won't give Jonte a break..what's the worst that can happen..not like he could score any less!

Surprised at this . Very young and no record having got any goals at league level. Hard to see on the face of it how he will be answer to our search for goals but have to wait and see.

Part of an RB quote from the OS -

Quote:
He has joined us on a 93-day loan which will enable him to be available for the play-offs were we to reach them."

Have I missed something or does 93 days from 18th January take us to the 21st April only?

What is RB's obsession with signing forwards that have scored few if any goals in their careers? Hard to get excited about this and not sure why we wouldn't just give Jonte game time.

Would really prefer that we got someone that had scored goals at L2 or BSP level.

0 goals in 10 games for Cheltenham?

To be fair he average a goal every three games for Cheltenham in league 2 so has some some success . Challenge will be stepping in to a higher league and being young can he kick on with more goals. Being injured wont help a flying start but have to be fair and give him time.

Can't see another striker coming in as we now have three on the books.

Didn't GA have a better record than that for us in League 2?

There are plenty of current L2 strikers with better records. Shame that we aren't even in a position to offer for one of them?

Our financial position is clearly a lot worse than it was last season when we signed TB for 150k.

Jonte, Lateef, Spencer, Alexander, Akinde. I make that 5. Oh, and Clarke has got so many goals recently he must be a striker. Surely GA won't start on Saturday. And surely we will play two up front?
