His loan has expired, coming back to Crawley:

Quote:
RICHARD Brodie will be returning to parent club Crawley after his six month loan spell ended today.
Bentley revealed that the club would have liked to have kept him at the Globe but finances dictate that he must return to Crawley.
Said Bentley: "Richard has been great for us and a player I really like.
"He has had a bit of bad luck with injuries since he came to us but he has worked really hard and done well for us.
"He is a fantastic lad off the pitch and the lads love him around the place but we haven't got the funds to keep him and he will go back to his club.
"I know he would love to get another club in the north west because he is settled around here and I hope he can do that.''

I watched RB's interview on Reds Player earlier and guessed it would be down to finances as to whether he stayed at Morecambe.

It'll be interesting to see how a return pans out.

Most telling part of that quote was :

Quote:

Unless there are other clubs interested i presume we will be forced to pay him off?

I should hope not - PLAY HIM! He is a fantastic player with massive potential that if RB is any good even half good as a manager he will get the best from him, go on RB prove me wrong show me that you can apply all those bits of paper into action and make your 'name' sake (RB) an even better player.

Richard Brodie could be the dream striker we desperately need, can anyone honestly (please think again honestly!) say he can do any wprse than Gary Alexander?

Play RICHARD BRODIE!

Yes, Gary is a leader and captain of the team.

Brodie will leave us with 10 men or wont be eligible to play! Not really a role model to the youngsters we will be bringing through.

I'd rather RB plays someone who will still be here next season.

If you really want to see him play, we will all club together for a train ticket North (one way) .... Wink

AKPAN!! He's nearly as bad as Brodie, lucky not to get a straight red, let alone a yellow for his leading elbow today!!

He just doesn't want to be here, down south Wink

Sorry RR&R but you need to shown passion & desire for the club you play for if you want to succeed. Brodie just wants to prat around winding up the opposition & fighting with the opposition thus getting himself sent off. He doesn't work hard enough & isn't the sort of player CTFC needs to progress in the future. End of story.

Agreed, he is a stroppy player who was not good enough for Blue Square Conference, let alone League 1.

Let him go he does not want to be here and we don't want him.
