Has agreed to leave the club & is now a free agent. Confirmed by the player himself on Twitter.

Twitter, of course, is the basis of contractual negotiations nowadays.

By the way, perhaps you could confirm what Rio Ferdinand had for breakfast? I am sure it must be posted somewhere......

A real mixed bag. A couple of blinding goals (Torquay and Barnet) and a lot of dross.

Something must have happened at some point as he didn't get a sniff this season.

I'm sure he can do a job in the Conference. Good luck Scott.

i spoke to Scott a few times, seems him, Charlie and Scotty Neilson were completely frozen out the minute Barker came in, had to train with the academy, i also know he was the highest paid player at the club, something arranged by Evans!! but to be fair he was a decent lad and IMO not a bad player at all! good luck Scott, a fair league 2 player, shame he didnt get a chance in L 1

yep i was shocked too!! he had a clause that made his wages matched with any new signings!! so if anyone came in on more money, his money would rise too!! fair play to his agent i guess, but not great from Evans!!!

Just Alexander and Akinde on my list to go now. As a pair, probably one of the worst strike forces we have ever had.

I was watching videos of GA from last season the other day. It was like watching a different player. Quicker and sharper.

But that comes with confidence. Although now he has got 2 years left on his contract, and then retiring, maybe he is just seeing out his career. But he must be doing something right in training for him to still have the armband, and the players seem to respect him.
