No - I concisely & accurately highlighted the paradox inherent within his public outpourings and persona...

I never ever implied that I was directly quoting him and remain perplexed as to why you feel it necessary to persist in suggesting I had done so...(?)

Shocked

I just wanted clarification that you made the slanderous statement up. Which you have given, so thank you.

No - I expressed my considered opinion based on analysis of the contradictory elements of his public statements...

My comments were not slanderous because - if I could be arsed to look up the relevant articles - he has made public statements that highlight the paradox...

...and I have previously explained - in great detail - that this behavour is typical of Northern kestrel-killers who suffer from a self-delusion that they like straight-talk and don't care about other peoples opinions... whereas in reality they are a bunch of backstabbing over-sensitive sulkers..!

Why as moderator have you then allowed what you perceive as slanderous statements to remain on the relevant threads?

So it's ok to call someone a kestrel killer, even if they've never done it? And in doing so you're not making a malicious, false, and defamatory statement? Shocked

Obviously you know best thad. Laughing

Just a shame we can't make the same noise at home !

funny, at home people expect to be entertained, away people expect effort.

Each away game there's been the effort if not the quality of football and most of the time that has been appreciated by the fans.

At home if the quality isnt there the fans dont seem to think they've been entertained and thus wont get behind the team (just an observation).

Oh right.... okay then... I shall set the record straight...

To my knowledge Richie Barker has never killed or even harmed a kestrel and I apologise if the suggestion that he has done causes offence to himself or his family.

I would also like to point out for clarification that the term kestrel-killer is used by me as an affectionate term for Northerners - particularly those from South Yorkshire - and is equivalent to similar terms such monkey-hanger.

I hope that clears the issue up.

It appears my perception is wrong, if you are to believe the author.

If the person that the comments are aimed at, RB in this instance, took offence and wished that they be removed I would happily remove them and any future post in which the term was repeated. Likewise if they wished to take legal proceedings against the author the comments are available as evidence.

If the author persisted in repeating the allegation I would have no option but to withdraw their access to the forum.

Maybe at this stage I should point out that I first heard the phrase "kestrel killer" on business trips to the hell-holes of "ooopp narth"...

...where it was commonly used by people from North and East Yorkshire to describe their compatriots from South Yorkshire.

How any Crawley fan can criticise another teams home support is beyond me?
Especially as they made more noise in the second half than we have managed at home all season.

Not sure if it's been mentioned on here but Hope's yellow card is his 5th which means another ban for him.

So Danny B back in the side on Sat.

Good to see Mike Jones getting 8/10 in The Argus report. Sounds like he played well. Good stuff after his good game v Sheffield Utd on Sat. Let's hope he's hit form and keeps it up.

At least its only one match, but I suspect it may be Cooper rather than Bulman as RB likes playing players against their old clubs.
