The Millwall youngster tweeted last night that he's joining on loan until the end of the season. Whilst there's been nothing from either club he's tweeted today that he's joining up tomorrow.

I guess we can expect an announcement then, providing he hasn't scuppered the move.

I don't think he is in trouble... as Guildford Roader had previously name-checked him in the "Dick" thread yesterday. He scored against the Dutch a few days back, good horse trainer too Wink

player rating isnt good, below average; very young so will be yet another youngster in RB's team. on plus side he has had international experience with Rep of Ireland. He could be a gem and that gem sparkles with us, or finish up like Charlie Wassmer excluded and unused, only time will tell but for now I wish you luck Aiden and hope you can provide some of the impetus in front of goal that Gary A failed to.

Played 7 games in his career, all of which were for Hayes and he didn't score in any of them, he's a striker..

So it was, my mistake Embarassed Also found the following quote.. Millwall’s O’Brien, who is originally from London, had a near-perfect debut with two first-half goals, though he limped off early in the second half with a knee injury....

How much of his wage are we paying? If any?

If we aren't paying his wage and Millwall approached us, where's the harm. Maybe they have seen what Akpan has achieved in 6 months under RB.

Point is all you are doing with a young loanee is improving his value for the lending club....no profit in it for us...we are lacking stability and experience so why take a young fella from Millwall. ...no sense at all.

No. If we can improve youngsters, as I said in another thread, will encourage other young players to sign for us.

So if we are not paying any wages for the loanee, and improve him, yes it will in the short term help Millwall. But in the long run can only improve our clubs kudos for improving young talent.

I can't see why there is an issue. The only issue would be if we are paying alot of wages (which I highly doubt). And you never know, he may even knock in a few goals.

Well if we were a functioning team I could see your point but we have reassembled a team and signed a load of kids , we have three wins in three months another 19 year old is not what we need right now. It's getting beyond a joke.
