The Blackburn manager has resigned tonight much to the delight of a large majority of the clubs fans, and maybe to some extent some of the clubs board members. Ever since he took over as manager of Blackburn from Sam Allardyce he has been subjected to some pretty nasty abuse.
Has any other football league manager ever been subjected to the same level of abuse before? (a-side from Steve Evans)

He was a strange appointment but the abuse he got was shocking and unwarranted. Very different to Evans who got the abuse because he was a cheat and a convicted crook.

The last straw was comments by that global adviser guy who looked more like a Taj Mahal waiter. Then again it's clear that Venkys know *beep* all about football and their pockets are not deep enough to play on the premier league scene.

No self respecting or credible manager should take the Rovers job while the Venkeys are in charge.

It'll be a complete novice looking for his first job in management. In other words another Steve Kean so why bother changing?

The man is a buffoon though. Slating your own fans is ever a great start. Still, at least you have your court case with Fat Sam to look forward to. Dozy drunk.

Agree about the owners though. Utter plums.

Keen done a great job at a club on the downward spiral - steve has come out of this with respect and dignity

the fans that abused keen are a total disgrace and i hope they get what the deserve mid table obsecurity or even a relegation battle.

this sounds like a David O' Dreary or an Alex Mcleish job as these 2 have harder skins than just about any other out of work manager in the game

Reported in today's papers that he quit because Shabby Singh and the Indians wanted to pick the team for today's game.

The two people mentioned as replacements are Tim Sherwood or Garry Flitcroft. I don't think either has ever managed a serious team.

They want Tim Sherwood, but they should keep their ignorant filthy hands off and if Sherwood has any sense, he'll reject the approach anyway!

A record they could continue at Rovers...

I'm laughing at some of the comments on here applauding the fella. He's a cheap tacky failure with no class.

Do not click on the link below if you're offended by the drunken ramblings of a pitiful (back then Prem league) manager, who will now be in court as a result of his unprofessional lying slurs

If you want to support a club that has actually won a trophy within living memory, i'd stick with Crawley Razz
