I thought I heard 3,200 and something...??

Leyton were poor, we weren't much better at times but another win in the bag.

Referee was rubbish and got worse as the game went on and the West Stand lino was doing a great Rainman impression.

We weren't quite firing at times today, but a solid performance anyway.

Some real plusses:

Jones made a real impression in the time he was on. He looks a very good addition.

I really like Sadler - solid defender and positive going forward.

Not really. A couple of decent chances but tactics wrong.

Alexander and Clarke up front, not really working. Ajose left midfield?? Nicky Adams having a good game but Simpson not really in it.

Still it's 0-0 and 45 mins to play for

Fortunately we changed tactics after HT but the substitutions made a big difference.

Ajose and Alexander up front looked a much better pairing. Jones on for Clarke and almost immediately he delivered a killer through ball for the goal.

Cooper looked comfortable at the back when he came on.

We deserved the win, we had the better chances and they didn't really trouble Paul Jones.

Overall it wasn't a classic but 5 wins out of 6 this season so no-one should be complaining. Teams like Orient aren't easy to roll over

Poor game, few chances, 3 points.

P. Jones and Fadz didn't put foot wrong, midfield and attack created very little all game, good pass.from M. Jones to ajose, tidy finish. Game over.

Succinct and to the point and correct. An "ugly win" and 3 more points towards survival.

We haven't seen Walsh yet, but if he and Jones(M) can get some game time on Tuesday/Sunday I think we'll have the basis of a good side to finish at least mid table. Am feeling more confident now than when we started the season.

MoM - Ajose for me as he just hangs on in there.

I thought it was a very hard fought win. Wasn't the best game, Orient put us under a lot of pressure at times without creating many chances or testing our keeper.

As has already been mentioned, it was glaringly obvious that Ajose should be up front rather than on the wing, especially with the form he's in at the moment.

A great result today considering what a scrappy game it was. The signs are looking good though, we could have easily have drawn or even lost this game.

5 out of 6, if we keep this up we'll have a very successful season.

COYR!!!

Well it can't be blistering football every game but we just did enough to beat what was put in front of us. The goal was neat and it looked like a move that didn't belong in a game like that. No complaints. I will settle for lots of scrappy 1-0 wins. Indeed, by half time I was thinking that it was petering out into a 0-0 but at least it could be an important point by the season's end.
I used to say I would rather lose as long as we had a crack at entertaining football. Please note; I've changed my mind Smile .

Worryingly poor home turn out then.

Very poor tactical decision to play AJose out on the left and with Josh misfiring in midfield, it could and should have cost us the match. Having said that, the quality of control and pass was sub standard in other areas....but we WON. This bodes brilliantly, to play below par and get the 3 points at a higher level is superb. Fadz was dominant and would get my MOTM. Shaun Cooper, as he gets more match fit, is getting more impressive and to be honest I was surprised he was'nt in the starting 11 and Mike Jones, WOW

Very poor crowd, I think someone is cooking the books even at 3200, looked more like 2500!.

Disgraceful considering we are league 1.

Only 900 odd in the East & South stands combined?

And if you're gonna fiddle your crowd, the idea is to LOWER your VAT bill...

Worrying thing was we could see after 10 minutes that Ajose was hopelessly out of place in midfield but risked playing the whole first half with him there!
Midfield just wasnt at the races today, many times when a midfield player could have been looking to pick up the ball from defence but just not mobile enough, ending up with so many wasted long balls for their defenders to head clear (also we seem to have stopped looking to pass it out from goal kicks and are just wasting possession with a lump up field). Badly missed the industry and mobility of Torres to fetch and carry (or Bulman). Made a huge difference when Jones came on, somebody who was demanding the ball and passing it around. Defence defended well but little creativity all round and Alexander looks pretty static up front. Still think we need creative midfield (maybe Jones on this show) and a goalscorer.

Wasn't a great game but we've picked up the 3 points which is the main thing, despite playing poorly!

Impressed with M. Jones when he came on - looks a tidy player, rarely gave the ball away and got the assist for Ajose.

On Ajose, I just don't know how he does it! Again, he did little (admittedly was out of position first half) but gets the winner! I suppose that's what matters in the end!

Defensively we look sound.

Midfield were overrun though which meant there wasn't a lot of service up top.

Alexander had a disappointing game by his standards and I'm still not liking Billy starting - more of an impact of the bench IMO.

Anyways, onwards and upwards I suppose!
