On Tuesday night in the game between Crawley & Northampton Town, Craig Brewster has both Kyle Mcfadzean & Claude Davis available for selection again after both have completed their respective bans. In that time John Dempster has been excellent and hasn't let the side down. To a much lesser extent the same could be said of today's performance from Charlie Wassmer. Does Craig Brewster stick with today's centre back pairing, or does he drop both (somewhat harsh in John Dempster's case) and play Mcfadzean & Davis instead? I would think Craig Brewster will have a lot of thinking to do before Tuesday night. What would you do I wonder?

very good posting and difficult one to call if it was me id keep one of the 2 that played today and seeing as Dempster has been there more than Wassmer, despite rating Charlie a far better player i cant ignore Dempster has been on the whole solid and reliable so i would stick with him and add one of the returning two alongside him, which one i think will be down to work rate and attitude in training etc with Charlie on the bench. That said unless 3 million pound Fadz loses it completely he should always be ahead of Claude for a starting place!

Davis and Dempster at the back, Fadz in midfield, so:

Kuipers
Simpson
Howell
Davis
Dumpster
Davies
Bulman
McFadzean
Neilson
B.Clarke
Alexander

Subs: Shearer, James, Smith, Watt, Akinde

I'd go with Dempster and McFadzean.

Davis on his day is excellent but he is prone to absolute clangers. Always go with the man on form. Dempster is the man.

The other issues is right back. Akpan and Torres are both suspended. Simpson might be needed in midfield. Although the other option is to put McFadzean there.

As i wrote in another thread:

Someone said as Dempster got booked he will miss the next game. Does anyone know if that is correct ?

Difficult to say.

By my records, he has two yellows this season.

But that doesn't include cup games or any cards he got when on loan.

For accurate info, check here :

But give it a few days to update with the weekends games .....

Surely drop Davis? Wassmer and Dempstee were both solid, if it's not broke don't fix it.

But I would put Fadz in centre midfield to replace Akpan. No brainer for me.

if we are light with players not suspended for midfield then I can see the manager/s putting fadz in the middle and sticking with todays centre halves, which i cant agrue with.

What a turn around! We have one CB and now we have four!

McFadzean's our best defender, Dempster's been brilliant.

Wassmer was great today and his time will come.

Don't think we will be able to hold onto Charlie for long,I think he was being watched today.

Brilliant Young Player will go far I think

He was limping a bit at the end of the game did he get a knock.

Dempster played well today as well.
