Was our best player last season but does give us some much needed funds to strengthen elsewhere. If it is a 6 figure sum, I don't blame the club for sanctioning it.

He scored some important goals but as a wide player I found it frustrating that often he failed to deliver from wide areas.

Thanks for your efforts and good luck for the future.

He was our best player last season, although he was indifferent at times. Sad to see him go, but he can be replaced.

Get real. We never ever invest money we get for players whether the same or better. We will end up with some 18 year old from Bolton who has never kicked a ball. The fans have been shafted yet again we can't wait to sell a player. Why should people bother turning up each week whenever we get a half decent player they are sold on. We will never go anywhere. Just downwards.

Sure the money will be put to good use. Not as sorry to see him go as I thought I would be ,and no point trying to keep someone who wants to leave.

That's how it works, how else do you think small clubs like Crawley survive from one year to the next?

A bargain at 999,999, we have, after all, screwed Peterborough before

Very Happy

Bearing in mind we paid them a combined 160,000 for both Ben Wright and Emile Sinclair, I think they have the upper hand on us!

Sorry to see him go as i think he will develop into a verygood player. I hope we have a resale clause. Good luck Gwion.

We got 800,000 for Barnet.

I doubt it much more than 100 k and probably phased payments. Imagine his salary would be that of two lower level league two players so we should get a couple of bodies in to replace him.

Good player and deserves a better level will be intersting to see if he can kick on further.

Thank you for all your efforts at Crawley Gwion. Good luck at Posh. You're good enough to rip league 1 apart.

Come back and see us sometimes just remember not to bring your shooting boots when you do. Smile

A shame, but we will replace him.

Apart from a few games here and there I didn't think he was ever the same player after the injury he had and JG tried to rush him back to quickly

Gwion himself has stated it was time for a new challenge, so no point in keeping on a player who wants to move on.

Exactly. The player had refused a contract extension so it was a 6 figure fee now or nothing next summer. No brainer really, it gives us money to reinvest.

A shame to lose a talented player, however, a six figure fee, giving us time to bring in a capable replacement, and the fact he was out of contract in a year's time is good business from the club.

It's a good move for all parties - Peterborough have a habit of bringing players on and then selling them and I 'm sure we'll be hearing about Gwion playing in the Championship at some point.

As Simon said, GE seemed to lose a yard or two of pace after being rushed back from his troublesome injury by JG in 2014-15.

People seem to be saying Peterborough beat Celtic and Rangers to his signature. I reckon we might have got a decent price for him if there was some competition.

Nice if true.
