Count me in for this one. Short train journey from Eastbourne. Not sure how far the ground is from the station though.

Richie Barker says the enforced mid-winter break might mean a stronger-than-expected side taking on County League Newhaven in the Sussex Senior Cup.

Richie said: "There are probably a few lads who could do with some minutes so I imagine the side that goes down there will be quite strong. Hopefully the weather will have relented and we can get the game on."

If the game goes ahead lets try to get down there in good numbers. Have to wrap up well !

Richie has hinted we will be fielding a strong squad (owing to the 'mid winter break' ) .

It was a fun evening at Whitehawk so there is no reason why Newhaven cant be the same.

See u there.

Colin

Newhaven never has it that bad so I reckon the game will be on.
Won't be on Reds player but hopefully us exiles will get some decent updates on Twitter. Sad

I see what you mean but you can still see the grass so it not that deep, as long as the temp gets above freezing I think they might still play. I suppose it depends whether the pitch drains nicely when it melts.

pleased to read

"We want to win every game we play no matter what the competition"

would like to see more of Taff leading with that attitude and this cup is after all all we can win this season so its good to see that a strong team is being put out against opponents that they should very easily sweep aside. All we need to do is avoid the small team from falmer village until beating them in the final!
