Can you explain "in difficult circumstances" mean? |
Of course, it is subjective but I'd say that at new year we were well above expectations for a club with our support. Rightly or wrongly we started as favourites for relegation with the bookies, we were never likely to match the resources of the Donny's, Pompeys and their like, but we were in there scrapping with the possibles.

All its and buts, sadly for them both the season ends in May.....in fact I even remember JG having the occasional decent result. |
Thems the breaks.. but the owner was right to see if he could address the rot... last night was clearly the final straw for him... didn't Steve Evans lose an SSC final too..? |

Not forgetting that DD started the season with pretty much a complete squad here already, so little room for manoeuvre.
At least the new manager won't have that problem............... |

A return for Dean Saunders?
Nigel Adkins? |
Adkins would be a decent choice for me if he were interested in the job?

I believe the media conference is this morning so we will see.
I hope we don't get into a knee jerk appointment and take a bit of time to find the right man. |

Kenny Jackett, anyone? Done a decent job wherever he's gone - we won't mention his stint at Rotherham earlier in the season! |

Hopefully Eren will announce who is taking charge of the team tomorrow, and say the search for a new manager is ongoing. It's possible he already has someone in mind, with a deal waiting to be signed once the season is over.
I wonder who will decide which players are retained and which ones are released now that DD has gone? |

Really funny on the club website, "Club statement" followed by "Everything must go!"

A quick Google search suggests Yilmaz has managed 33 clubs since the late 80's.
Sounds like a perfect candidate. |

It had to happen and I am pleased that it has happened. Interesting timing too, with season ticket renewal season just around the corner.
In all honesty there was no other option. His persistent attachment to tactics and a style of play that palpably did not work, coupled with low motivational skills and an impassive style that most supporters do not warm to were the principal nails in his coffin.
Not an era to be remembered fondly. |

I suppose it was inevitable, but I cant say I am as happy as everyone else seems to be. Just feels we are back at square 1 again when we should be building. I just wish we had a bit of stability to enable the whole club to move forward.
(I also have grave misgivings of the clubs ability to employ the right man.) |

After the SSC defeat instead of cancelling the open top bus can we use it for throw a wet sponge at dummy and his sidekick for the miserable season theyve given us. |

Was it a miserable season...? the last third wasn't enjoyable, pretty horrible in fact, but before that you were talking of us as champions..! |

Have we not stayed up , as such does this not constitute a success. If it's entertainment you want week in week out go watch a film. |
