Was thinking that we've had some lovely away cup trips... personal favourites are a club down in the New Forest (Lymington?) where the local scout troops provided the hot-dogs... and that Hockton-inspired comedy turkey shoot at Flackwell Heath...
...also that dreadful defeat at Whyteleafe (we hadn't even made it into September) when a mad five minutes saw us let in 3 goals, but the natives were very friendly and it finished up with embraces & wishing them good luck in the competition... a few I know wouldn't mind returning to Guiseley some time either.
Edit: I remembered it was Lymington & New Milton FC |
I felt very down after Whyteleafe.
What made it worse was the fact we got it back to 3-2 (Peter Garland twice, the second a pen when the keeper should have been red carded).
It's the hope that kills you. Every time. |
Andy Riley scored the penalty. |

Okay then, what was unique about the top of the referee's head? |

Unique for a ref... did the top of his head contain a fully-functioning brain..? |

Ha. No, because he should have red-carded the keeper for a start. |

Boring draw...
But very winnable.
Well done to BBC for recognise that AFC Wimbledon were the true cup winners of 1988 |

Tough draw . Home draw but Rovers are a league above and play off material. No luck again. |

Tough draw but winnable. Could have been worse and drawn a northern club away. |

We will be in league one next season so it will be a good indication to see how many (if any) are good enough for that standard so i look positively at it. Always boring to play team you would anyway in same league at least weve avouded that. |

A good ish draw. Playing at home always an advantage and Bristol Rovers will fear facing Matt Harrold.
Rovers are well supported so we should have a good crowd. |

Matt Harold won't be playing against Rovers, DD has said we will be lucky to see him January 2017 . God help us if Collins gets injured. |
