Im very shocked and worried by this signing yorworth is dreadful and plays in key position. Only hope DD sees how awful he is sooner than later and replaces him.

I see what DD is doing here, he is signing players that know each other and the club, then adding new players with them.

This could be a shrewd move as it blends some continuity with some new blood.

It's a good plan, as look at last season when it was a totally new squad and there it was not good to watch.

Funny thing is in the close-season we usually like to moan about lack of continuity and the prospect of having to get used to a new bunch of strangers...(?)

scratch

I guess it says a lot about just how bad we were last season.

Joins Merthyr on a 28 day loan, seems a sensible idea if the lad has family problems

Sorry to hear there are family issues back in Wales, good luck to the lad who I rate very highly as a talented footballer.

Being of a certain vintage, I always associate Merthyr Tydfil with bleak events at a mining village close by, in the news recently as it is the 50th anniversary... probably a sombre time for the community.

Some cracking away days at Merthyr back in the good old days.

Grim place, as is most of what's around it - Aberfan included, where we went on a cheery geography field trip - but some cracking matches during the Billy Smith error... sorry, I mean 'era'.

Yes Thad, that was a very black day - and that's not meant as a pun either. I've been doing a little writing about it. I know I was safe hundreds of miles away, but it was the day that fractured my childhood innocence.
