Whitehawk at Welling Utd. Hastings at Harrow if they win their postponed game, and Eastbourne at Aldershot if they win their replay.

Precisely. There's been a long, ongoing chat (battle) between 2 regular posters about dog racing at Wimbledon. No one has had a problem with that. Its tenuously related to football I guess. I've still read it all, and I don't like dog racing, and absolutely loathe AFCW
This part of the forum is called Talk Football, which is what Ian does. What's the problem? If you're not interested, don't read it. Big Sam being sacked as England manager is nothing to do with CTFC either. Do you want that thread deleted? Rolling Eyes

Indeed there has Northgate, myself being the main culprit and i don't remember being castrated by anyone for my views (maybe its because it was partly about our rivals)

Simon you are right it wasn't called in and thus AFCW have the 3 points in this game of will they wont they? - Sorry i had said i wouldn't comment further about this subject

But getting back to the matter at hand please keep posting your non league ramblings some of us really do enjoy the read

And deny us the opportunity of a trip to the Crabble? I hope Dover beat Burgess Hill and then we can smash them Smile

I've been a CTFC supporter for almost as long as I've lived in Sussex, and for many years did more than just support, as many here will know. I stopped attending because I hated the way the club was being run and accordingly was no longer enjoying the experience. I'd be back now (indeed I'd have been back as soon as the new owners came in), only in the two years I've been away I've developed a second career...

Ian was chair of the Trust and the CTSA for many years when it was a more than thankless task, I'm surprised he was prepared to put up with the rubbish (and the troublemakers) that went with the position, for as long as he did... he undertook the role generously and was far from self-absorbed.. he deserves our respect for that...

...and to feel disillusioned & let down... I know plenty more about murky deeds in recent years than I have ever let on... but I was only ever on the fringes... he knows ten times more than I do and has kept his own counsel.. he was there in the very thick of it and has more than anyone else earned a well-earned break as a non-league hack...

...there were times in the last two dire seasons when I truly envied him... I had some great days watching the likes of Arundel when I was banned and it was very enjoyable. But - like me - he has invested too much on so many levels to ever truly abandon CTFC, it is similar to being a reformed alcoholic... you are only ever one drink away from slipping back into old habits...!

Thanks for the nice words. The funny thing is that I sit at Worthing, or Braintree, wherever they send me, and use every break in play to see what's happening with Crawley. I might not be there in body, but I certainly am in spirit.

And yes, there were occasions when I wondered why the hell I was involved, but they were outweighed overall by the good times and the joy. I walked away when that balance changed and became negative, but the world has changed now. If I wasn't busy I'd be back...but I'm busy!

A likely story. How dare you earn a living to pay your bills when you could be watching Crawley instead.

Luckily (although at the moment I'm not sure that's the right word) I have a full time day job. And thank goodness, because I'm never going to get rich from Non League football, unless I can earn a contract with Whitehawk... Very Happy

You asked a question therefore you should have used a question mark, if you're going to troll, do it properly.
