Excuse any error in my maths... we have 34 points so far from a possible 81 which is 7 points more than 1 per game... only slightly below 1.25 - at the current rate we are scheduled to finish with 55-58 points which last year would have got us 15-17th in the final table (we can assume our goal difference is not likely to be great).

Relegation?... if we need another 19 points for safety it is 1 per game or win 1 in 3, which also allows for a drop in our form-to-date this season... but depending on other teams results, in reality we are likely to need less points... maybe somewhere as low as between another 11-16, hard to tell as rival teams will play each other.

scratch

Which suggests that even with a pretty bad collapse we should be safe... and - who knows - if the squad stick together they might even start picking up points at a faster rate...?

The interesting factor will be how we respond when we are under pressure to get points and equally how we react if/when we think we are safe... both could still go either way.

That's all well and good but I actually dreamt the other night we'd be relegated.

I don't think we will though, the gap's too big and there are some terrible teams below us.

for me the biggest problem is we have very few goals in this team, if it stayed the same I would be pleasantly surprised if we got 15 more goals between now and the end of the season

so I think we will be safe but only take maybe 10 - 15 points max

we need a player who can score 8-12 between now and the end of the season to add to the 10 or 15 I think we can get

Something about Mark Yates being the best manager he's ever known.
I think it's a sonnet.
