According to the Argus, Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Christian Walton is being pursued by Crawley & other clubs for a loan spell next season. Link to the story can be found below. Could prove to be a decent signing if MY can get him in.

No thanks. 19 year old goalkeepers is a sure way to be headed down to the conference. We need experience not kids. If these are the types of signings coming then i'm off to the bookies to bet on us going down again.

Ben Hamer was 19 when he played for us. I still think he is the best keeper I have seen in a Crawley shirt in the 27 years I've been watching.

A BHA friend reckons this fella to be top notch, 'too good for Crawley' in his words...

And how do you think young keepers will get experience? Age doesn't matter if they are good enough. B&H fans rate him anyway.

If he performs as well as Ben Hamer did for us then age doesn't matter.
I would be happy to see this youngster between the sticks for us.

Joe Hart played for Shrewsbury at 17 and was first choice at 19. He didn't turn out to be too bad, nor did he do badly for Shrewsbury.

OK you say we need experience, shall we go for Dave Beasant then he's got plenty and was only on the bench for Stevenage - is he old enough for you

Personally - Mark Yates go get and sign Christian now - will be a good move for both clubs

Yates does have some form here having taken Jack Butland on loan at Cheltenham in 2011 from Birmingham as an 18 year old, by 2012 he was in the England squad

I hope we are lucky enough to get him,a very good keeper according to Albion fans who have seen him,we should not worry too much about age,if Brighton fans rate him, that should be enough.

With the player being young, hopefully he shouldn't cost too much in wages either, this is surely a good thing for the club and manager seeing as the budget is lower than that of last season.

And how do you suppose a young keeper gets experience? That's right by playing competitive games!!

What was your opinion of Ben Hamer's ability when he kept goal for us?

I for one thought he was excellent despite his youthful age and lack of previous experience.
