No need to wait for the FL show for the goals, even if you've got Sky.

The highlights include the 2 efforts against the woodwork, Price's save towards the end, and the little "dust up".

This was a really entertaining game of football. The trouble is that it’s the same old frustrating result. We need just a couple of wins to steady the ship but we continue to slip and slide. We can look at our chances and say we had more than enough to win the game. That said, Chesterfield supporters will be doing exactly the same. We need a bit of luck but Izale McLeod being out for three games is an absolute disaster. I cannot see where the goals are going to come from. From where I was the incident was an absolute nothing and yellow cards all round would have been enough. It was the lino’s call for sure.

Onwards and upwards now. It’s going to be a really tough four-five months.

Price – 8 – Excellent handling throughout and some top class saves

Oyebanjo – 7 – Athletic and totally committed to the cause

Leacock – 7 – Calm and composed as ever

Walsh – 7 – A commanding presence. How long has he got left at the club?

Bawling – 7 – Again offered a lot on the right. Great attitude

Dickson – 6 – Didn’t see his usual gut-busting runs down the left

Smith – 6 – The game passed him by. Did a lot of pointing

Keane – 6 – We will miss him but made a bad error for the goal

Edwards – 7 – Has shown a real fighting spirit of late to go with the skill

Tomlin – 7 – Two solid performances in a row. What’s going on? Great finish

McLeod – 6 – Committed as ever. A major, major miss for three games

Young – 7 – Second time in a row he’s made a good impact sub

Miller – N/A – Some nice touches. He will now be required to step up

I imagine the settings have been changed as it probably shouldn't have been active last night.

Really enjoyed that, for probably the first time this season. End to end, a crap referee a clogger centre half who could have been sent off in the first few minutes (and got his just deserts later), chances both ends good defending, Gavin Tomlin showing how not to score closely followed by a peach, from a great pass by Edwards.
Still a few little issues though, thought Bobson was left in a difficult position first half with a no.11 glued to touchline and us playing Oyebanjo inside and from that Bobson didnt know whether to defend as right back, push forward, or do what Smith generally does and stand there pointing. Having said that didnt think Smith did too bad, although I thought both him and Keane did stand off too much at times in the first half and let them play, but also some heroic defending, great to see Oyebanjo back and we now have two decent full backs (even if one is playing wing back).
Also I thought it weakened us when Bobson went off for Young, we needed his energy.
Not sure about the sending off, I did see on FL Show that the no.3 took a definite swing at McCleod while they were back to back but didnt actually see a swing from Izale although the intent was maybe there. Stupid from them both though. No.3 came up through RADA (as did one or two others of theirs) as soon as we even got within a yard it was throw yourself to the floor time! But all added to a much better afternoons entertainment for the dedicated and loyal fans.

I must admit I never thought that Lewis Young weighed about 37 stone - well he must do the way the 'big' Jones went down when Lewis slightly knocked him......

I know the angle isn't the best but having watched the replay on the Football League Show I really don't know what McLeod did wrong and it looked like it was all that diving, shirt pulling Muppet Jones that was the aggressor.

I wonder if it's worth appealing. It's a straight red so can be.

It was right in front of me....Jones hit McLeod and he tried to get off the blond bombshell...may be worth an appeal as footage seemed to show the same.

From my angle, clear unimpeded view from about 10-15 yards it was the two punches from McLeod that got him dismissed. 4th official also saw it and the dismissal was on his word, not the AR.

It was a very easy decision for both dismissals. Though if you're saying "yellows" would have sufficed then explain exactly what you are giving the caution for as I'm confused.

As for the match, good to see some passion especially as I was due to miss it. Best so far this season. Let's hope it's built on.

Kick by their left back = red card
Punch by McLeod = red card

The 4th official was 5 yards away and had the best view of all

No point appealing in my view.

Can't say I saw a punch from McLeod and was as bemused as he was that he was sent off.

The only punch thrown that I saw was at McLeod.

Izale definitely threw a punch. When he did that i knew he'd be sent off. He was provoked, he retaliated, but he raised his fists so i don't think the ref - useless *beep* that he was - had a choice. Lucky we got Miller in, he'll play every game now. A shame as the Mcleod/Tomlin partnership was starting to come good.
