Tenner for adults. Not bad, I don't think. |

Pricing in line with the Ipswich game would be sensible. |
Or less.
I seriously think about £8 is about right. Kids for a quid too.
Look at what Norwich City are doing for the League Cup, we can hardly justify more than that. |
So it's less for those in the West Stand and U18s, the same for everyone else.

I thought they got paid a salary per month (plus various bonuses) irrespective of games |

You would expect so, wouldn't you. Otherwise those here last winter had a tough January and February. |

They should close the home sections of the east stand, and allow east stand season ticket holders to reserve in the West stand for this type of game.
Crowd under 1200?
I also hope the team is much changed.
Hand a start to the young goalkeeper, allow him to regain some confidence.
Hand a start to Issacs and Richefond, will be good for their development. |

I agree. However, clause 7.3 of the competition rules (http://www.football-league.co......33_2383581) states that a full strength side must be played. I believe that the current definition is at least six of the starting line up from the previous game, but I could be wrong on that front.
I'd like to see Isaacs get a game, for sure. And maybe a start for Banya. We can change only 5 of the starting line up, so I wouldn't bother playing the sub goalie. Stick with the Beast. |

I would play a decent side and try and get a run going.
When Chesterfield won it a couple of years back they made £100k in prize money plus £300k of gate receipts from the final.
The best way for Isaacs and Richefond to get some experience is to send them out on loan to a Conference South or Rymans Prem team. That's how we will find out if they are up to it. |

Lets give the Johnstone's Paint Trophy a decent go, treat it with respect and try to win it !
That would put the gloss on the season |

I agree. Realistically we aren't going to win the league (and if we were in with a chance of the play offs I'd change my mind on the make up of the side)
The League Cup could well be over in one more match (And we will know by then)
The FA Cup is a real potential money spinner. But that doesn't kick in till November.
Play a strong side until other targets are within gras and then review. Winning is a habit |

I think the person pointing out that they also get paid when they don't play was also being sarcastic, Steve.
It's not just a question of cut price deals - would you prefer 750 paying full price or 1,500 paying a tenner? |

Interesting as clearly one would give us higher revenue but the other would give us a better crowd.
Bearing in mind the clubs overheads won't change as a result of this game I'd still prefer to see a cut price entrance fee. As long as it covers the opening of the stadium (no small amount) and the programme then I think the club need to think carefully about admission charges.
They got it right in pre-season and were rewarded with what I think were decent crowds against Brighton and Fulham. I hope they are rewarded with decent gates agains. Anything over 1500 would be a good effort in my view but I suspect to just simply break even we need even more than that |

Yes it wasn't the best example to give really.
I would rather we had 1500 people paying £10 than 750 paying £20 (I know those aren't necessarily the averages when concessions ae taken into account).
Partly because it gives a better atmosphere, partly because it might attract some floating supporters and if we happen to play well there is a chance that some people may come back.
The JPT is a dead loss in the early rounds, however if we made the area finals or the final (where TV is also involved) it can turn into a money spinner.
There is also the SSC for giving the squad players a game. |
