Frustrating isn't it. After being reliable for so long a Paul Jones has made errors three games running. Although I think it's harsh to blame him, we have a better defensive record than two teams in the play offs.

The real problem is 40 goals in 39 games, only Shrewsbury have done worse.

When Gwion Edwards joined us JG said "He has tremendous ability and a bright future. We have been looking at Gwion for a while and we're delighted Swansea have let him come to us." Why did we sign him I wonder.

Still tonight was a tough one, now it's on to MK Dons.

Ok was P Connolly not Jones, I'm sure Solako said Jones, and Solako made it sound like a massive punch up, although there was an altercation, not sure it was to the extremes of how Solako made it sound!

My brother said a Brentford fan chucked the ball very hard at Connolly when it went in the crowd. Paul didn't like it and made this more than clear.

The scrote got lobbed out by Police/stewards.

A Brentford fan threw the ball at Paul connolly in an aggressive manor and Paul Conolly swung for him.

Another howler from Paul Jones cost us a point tonight, as we were not going to get anything more than that from the game.

He'll start on Saturday though as he's not got any real competition for his place. The only time I can see JG giving Maddison a game is when we are mathematically safe and I'm not sure when that will be.

And here's a video someone has captured from Sky Sports News of the incident involving Paul Connolly. https://vine.co/v/M5MhbYUdIKA

I think you will find the Police were well away from the action standing up behind us in the top tier watching the game while the Brentford fans in that section by the pitch were doing as they pleased. Everybody reacted too late, but they did tell one of our young fans off for swearing and took his name! Shocked
Not sure where our good chances at the end were that JG was talking about, we never had a sniff and I thought Tubbs should have gone off (just jogged around at medium pace) instead of Clarke and why not try Monakana for the last 20 minutes, we didnt try anything at all different to make us more positive as an attacking force and we still insist on the nonsense of 11 back for corners then clear the ball to nobody. Brentford often had three or four stretching us across the pitch when they were defending (our very rare) corners.
Defence tonight was excellent, worked hard generally (apart from an isolated Tubbs who just didnt get in the game) as a team but once they scored - game over.

Connolly will be lucky to escape sanction watching that 2nd video.

Feel for PJ, that's the the 3rd ricket dropped in consecutive games; but I think he'll be fine for the rest of the season.

A shame really as Brentford were never going to score(imho) until that error.

Only 4 points required from remaining 7 games though I think, starting with 1 on Saturday.
