You mean we haven't got a top 8 budget after all?

JGs signings seem a bit more like the Pound Shop Wink

Why would JG spend money in the jan transfer window when nearly every player is over priced

JG should be judged on next seasons performance not this one as he has had to get rid of a good few players GA ES to name but 2 and he last NA aswell

Maybe we should give a manager time

So why would the club give us all that b/s about strengthening the team in Jan? When it's clear the players JG has brought in aren't good enough to start?

Adding Tubbs in Jan strengthed the squad. I think some of the other players may be ok as well if they get a bit of time in the side.

Not quite sure what to sat about that game. As a game of football was just about OK.

We never looked like scoring and Preston only had a couple of clear cut chances one of which they scored.

There goal a simple header from an unmarked player in the box, bad defending.

No Crawley player stood out if anything their back two were pretty tasty and handled our strike force? easily.

Strange how views change, never thought I would say it bur Serge does not stand out like he use to, suppose the opposition is better and he does not get the same space and more experienced and better players can quieten him down. However he still battles and gives 100%

Jealous of the stadium and their numbers of support, not bad as there a at least 6 really big clubs with 25 miles.

120 fans for a league 1 club slightly disappointing however well done to all who made the trip.

Those travelling to Port Vale if you get a chance try the Oat Cakes a local delicacy.

Well done to the 122 that made trip up to Deepdale. Having done Bristol, Coventry, Rotherham, Swindon and Gillingham, couldnt make today. Three defeats in a row isnt glreat but looking forward to response at Port Vale. Hope Tubbs not out too long.

Jg now playing the "tired" card, but refusing to give Dicker a run out? He must be poor!

When you look at the overall changes in Jan we didn't strengthen the team.

Tubbs was a plus, I agree, however losing Adams balanced that out.

Alexander and Sinclair despite their limitations did get the occasional goal, replaced by Fallon who is more likely to win the national lottery. That IMHO has weakened the squad.

It is difficult for a player to join any club and slot in to a team and shine. The player is usually available because they have been injured or aren't getting a game at their previous club. P Connolly and Fallon had barely played before joining us . Dicker had only played 10 odd games and wasn't making the Rochdale team

Playing twice a week was always going to be a gig problem and end up impacting results.

It's a blessing we picked up points in the first 8 or 9 games and those results are more reflective of our ability.

The remaing games are play out the season and we will lose quite a few games ww would have got a result in but for the schedule.

Doesn't answer the question though. Why tell supporters at the forum that JG had money to strengthen the team and then sign a rag bag of journeymen and untested youngsters?

According to JG interview the players are worn out but still his signings are left on the bench.

They did try and improve the team, Lee Gregory etc but there is money and there is silly money,, wait until the summer when players will be better value, we are a decent mid table team at best due to our minimal fan base, people need to wake up and smell the coffee, 3 defeats and the knifes are out as usual, god some of you are so predictable.

3 losses in a row now.. with no goals scored, playing fairly poorly with no fight or passion and to be honest, not even looking like scoring. Not good enough... Barker ou... oh... Shocked

Still, Roll on Port Vale, and the massive number of about 30 fans we are taking!

It's a completely distorted picture. I used to live in Preston and they do have excellent support. And the Bill Shankly end is a very large stadium. I was at Deepdale earlier in the season when Swindon were going well and they barely mustered a much bigger looking support at the end.

Add in long trips and several of them and you get the net result of the picture

Biggest surprise of yesterday was only losing 1-0. Preston should have been 3 up after 20 mins. How 2 centre halves can be so dominated and only lose 1-0 is to appreciate both their sense of willpower and luck. Preston generally played in 3rd gear. Just so much stronger and quicker. We crossed in to the box from midfield positions (mainly light airy passes in from Drury) which were in effective - we just don't get to the byeline these days. Only Jones (Paul definitely not Mike), Torres and possibly Proctor came out with much credit. JG was again Barkeresque - this time in too late substitutions. Thank goodness we only need 2/3 wins to be safe and thank goodness there are teams shatter than us at the moment. Crawley crawling over the finishing line.
