We still have no defenders on either post when defending a corner,WHY?

As for Jamie Proctor...... I don't think he can be trusted to start a game - a liability in my view. What a difference from Tuesday.

Not usually one to criticise individuals, but Jamie Proctor was awful today. Lazy and leadfooted. Paul Jones was inspired. Just as well the sun was shining today, certainly wouldn't want to be in that stand in the cold and rain.

Wouldn't dispute that he had a poor game but to call him lazy is way off the mark IMHO.

We havent been able to defend corners all season, when RB was here we would bring all 11 back but mark nobody, now we at least have 2 up which takes 3 of their out of it but we still dont seem able to pick out men up. The scorer today was in acres of space. I was just getting ready to be really disappointed at only getting a draw as well!!
Very poor game, maybe to much grass on the pitch for our team, what excuse can we use this time?
Midfield I thought we didnt dominate enough and just needed more drive through the middle, I think Drury sometimes wants too much time.
Having said all that if you cannot hit a cow's *beep* with a banjo it doesnt really matter, and we just do not score enough goals. The sterile influence of RB still seems to still be in our team, just lucky that Tubbs has come it to chip in with the odd one most games because I cannot see anybody else scoring!! Confused

I commented on Tuesday about our inability to defend corners, and it has come back to haunt us again!
I was not there today but from previous experience I have been in that stand on a cold and wet November night and it aint pretty!
I was following on the BBC text commentry and it sounded like we were all over them in the second half (obviously not), then Clarke (or Walsh according to the BBC report) hits a post and they go and score!

It really was the same problem we have had all season - apart from Tubbs we haven't got a decent forward at the club. JP did plenty of running but just hasn't got it as a forward - missed a sitter on Tues and missed another one today.

Also anyone who has watched us (as Peter Taylor did Tues) will know Billy Clarke is one footed so show him inside and his effectiveness is severely limited.

I don't know if we practice set pieces in training but our delivery today was shocking. Almost as bad as our finishing in fact.

The player who really deserves credit is Paul Jones, definitely gained us a point on Tuesday and several top saves today. Closely followed by Paul Connolly.

We need to be looking for 4 points from Shrewsbury and Colchester.

The team as whole (P Jones excepted) had a bad day at the offeice.
Sadler who is a steady 7/10 player had a really poor first half
Fadz was well below par and slipped over to much.
Walsh was ok ish
Conelly not as good as his name sake.
Bully possibly his worst game this season.
Drury again disapointing, has never bettered his initial loan spell
Jones some good stuff and some absolute rubbush
Clarke did not seemed interested at all. does'nt want to play for a reduced contract?
Proctor after Tuesday's storming appearence again failed with a starting berth.
Tubbs huffed and puffed but his only meaning full effort was an over-head kick.

Good away day but the performance did'nt match the away following's effort in attending.

Cue getting shot down but it was a gutting performance imho.

Drurry was the best player on the pitch by a country mile. He has a skill, level way beyond league one. Jones was good today he has a good mix of skill and energy and i think he should be in the middle holding role.

Proctor wasn't bad today he worked hard but his instincts as a front man are a problem. Compare him to Tubbs who gets a shot off , usually on target from the most difficult positions with no time. JP just doesn't have the reaction or accuracy. He holds the ball and works hard though.

Fallon looked ok and won all his headers when he came on.

Clarke was off form , that said he still created a lot of our best stuff. Not sure if he was grumpy about his position , just knackered maybe or something else but he looked out of sorts. ..but he contributed a lot despite clearly not 100 percent.

We were terrible today How can a team be so different to the last 45 Mins on Tuesday ,Billy Clarke the worst player on the pitch just not interested followed closely by Proctor both missed sitters I don't think Jamie could score in a ******* not one forward at our club worth a light Tubbsy excluded of course lets hope we can keep hold of him.
I think JG should have changed it at halftime it was plane to see it was not working they were a poor side 3 Points lost.

Clearly I was at a different game. We commented on the way out that he didn't do anything at all. When he jumps he barely gets off the ground.

3 goals in 2 seasons suggests to me he is just a stop gap.

Maybe the two games a week is getting to them already?
If it is then it is a worry as that is what they face for the rest of the season.
Say what you like about our games in hand, but at the moment we are playing to stay in this league, talk of the play-offs is la la land IMHO.

Maybe they cannot cope with 3 games a week. But they did get a mid-winter break.
Performance today not good enough imho,

We weren't bad today other than the finishing. It wasn't great and probably lacked that extra 5 - 10'percent energy but we created enough to win.

Our key performer clarke was not at his best but most of the good stuff came from his play.

Our must retains from this season are Walsh, McFaz ,Clarke ,Drurry and Tubbs we can build a decent team around those 5.

By the way thought Mark Connolly should have played today.
